Progress report: today, @mkamtattoo is freehanding on his client.

It is the result of years of dedication, countless hours of practice, and a deep understanding of the subject matter.

Get a bodysuit, and look cool forever.

@mkamtattoo 正在客人身上徒手繪製紋身。這是多年專注、無數小時的練習，以及對題材深刻理解的成果。

身體就是畫布。

完整，才是最型格的永恆。

The Ward’s OFF SKIN exhibition is entering its final stretch — you’ve got just two more weeks to experience the full body of work by 22 tattoo artists working across various media.

From scroll paintings and sculpture to figurative abstraction, OFF SKIN explores what happens when tattoo artists take their practice off the skin and into other art forms. Thanks to the generous support of Lee Gardens Association, we’ve brought together some of the city’s most iconic and emerging artists, celebrating tattoo culture as an evolving visual language.

Here are some highlights from the show:

1. “Kreative Kontrol”
Mike Kam (Tennin Tattoo) @mkamtattoo @tennintattoo
Sumi ink on rice paper｜73 x 140 cm

A vivid snake with blazing eyes emerges from soft yet powerful brushstrokes — an ode to Japanese traditions and the freehanding process behind large-scale body suits.

2. “Tiger Sketch Book Series 19”
Ross Turpin (The Body Architects) @ross_turpin_ @thebodyarchitects
Mixed media on cardboard｜17 x 18 cm

A raw, spontaneous study of a roaring tiger bursting with colour and character — an image at once playful and ferocious, like a secret scribbled into a box.

3. “你看血液總是從我身體裏向外流，我想它也在討厭我，想要逃離我吧”
Alien (Artinouterspace) @artinouterspace
Acrylic on fiberglass & stone clay｜34 x 105 cm

A haunting sculpture of a woman’s skeletal body — heart exposed, crystalised blood dripping — exploring beauty, fragility, and the strange desire to be freed from oneself.

4. “becky funhouse”
Yaso Soda @yaso.soda
Acrylic, charcoal, oil on canvas｜50 x 60 cm

A surreal and eerie mise-en-scène: a naked woman, a cloaked bird figure, and a red-clad spectre — trapped in a dreamlike carnival of mischief and mystery.

5. “Buddha is an Alien: EINU Hieroglyph Heart Mantra”
EINU Elyse (EINU Tattoo) @einutattoo.elyse
Ink on rice paper｜45 x 160 cm

A meditative scroll fusing Buddhist scripture with alien-like glyphs — a cosmic reinterpretation of the Heart Sutra through fine line and spiritual inquiry.

Catch the show before it closes —
