PROXIMAL HAMSTRING TENDINOSIS REHAB 🦵🏼🤼‍♀️🇺🇸

Rehab isn’t just about “strengthening the hamstring.”
It’s about progressively restoring tissue capacity, pelvic control, strength, elasticity, and the ability to produce and absorb force.

This USA wrestler’s progression demonstrates how we build back to high-level performance 👇🏼

PREP THE TISSUE
Trigger point kneeling + augmented soft tissue mobilization to improve soft-tissue mobility, increase local blood flow, decrease tissue resistance, and prepare the hamstring for loading.

RESTORE POSITION
Postural restoration exercises to improve pelvic positioning and control. A more neutral pelvis can help reduce unnecessary stress on the proximal hamstring and create a better starting position for loading.

RHYTHMIC STABILIZATION
Faster, rhythmic stabilization drills — including temper tantrums — performed in both supine and seated positions.
Why? Because the hamstring needs to learn to react, stabilize, and repeatedly control force, not just produce a slow maximal contraction.

BUILD ECCENTRIC CAPACITY
Modified Nordics → eccentric lengthening and control.
Hamstring isometrics → high-tension loading while controlling symptoms.

+ ISOMETRICS

Plank + hip-extension isometrics challenge the posterior chain while reinforcing the ability to maintain position under tension.

WHY ISOMETRICS?
They can help build force capacity, improve tolerance to load, and train the athlete to produce force without excessive movement — an important bridge toward more dynamic loading.

PELVIS + HIP DISSOCIATION
Single-leg airplanes with the arms extended and leg in extension.

The goal? Pelvic control + hip dissociation + single-leg stability.

Because the athlete doesn’t compete in a straight line.

They wrestle.

They cut.
They rotate.
They react.
They absorb force.
They produce force from unpredictable positions.

I have really slowed down on doing customs but when clients like @mkaykay19 need customs, there is no way I'm going to say I retired.

Michaela stepped out a little with these new colors, something still classic and beautiful, and one pair that is bright and noticeable. Michaela is very involved in the process and knows exactly what she wants, it's just my duty as her customs guy to make that vision come to life.

Thank you for always being such an amazing client Michaela! Keep up the amazing work and know that the Trueax Graphics family is always backing you!
