34 now.

Closed out 33 with the ride or dies who keep showing up in this city. Feeling lucky to build community, do dope things with friends, and keep it all about the music.

My first all-vinyl set as Misha Mir is up on SoundCloud. Old favorites from @harrisonbdp1 and @danaruh, every @restlessplanet_ track on wax, and a lot of real smiles. A set that had to happen.

Saturday route for tomorrow: @montanabadlands 4–7 with @noah_coinflip + @edbier, then Satoshi Tomiie at @pacsci with @makesme_human, then a small gathering after with @housecleaningrecords. DM me. Limited access.

Two years ago, I was sweating though the dregs of Covid, terrified to play my first official vinyl gig. I had no idea that night would be the birth of life as I now know it, life as a DJ. I have a lot of gratitude to share as year three of this adventure begins!
We have an incredible community in the PNW (and beyond) of musicians, producers, DJs, artists, dancers and dreamers, from both past and present. Thank you, I wouldn’t be here without YOU! Without you, I wouldn’t have had the courage to become a radio host and produce 50-something episodes of NW Groove Therapy for @shadypinesradio , or taught my first master class at the @olyfunkfest about the history of NW Funk and Soul. I would not have learned how to use a digital setup or began to play techno. That led to hosting monthly events and regularly performing as @speaks_in_rhythm with the incredible partner that is @mkenall This upcoming weekend marks my 45th live show, and the opportunity to be the first vinyl DJ to perform at the @brodienationmusicfest . Come find me at the main stage Saturday night - I’ll be spinning the best of PNW Funk and Soul during set breaks from 5:45-10:15. We have alot to celebrate in life, my friends.
Thank you for being part of this adventure, I can’t wait to see what happens next ❤️

We are back for Ebb + Flow. Volume 2.
Come join us @thecoveseattle for an afternoon of dancing, food & beverage, and relaxing (if you see fit).
Sunday. July 19th.

I couldn't think of a better guest selector than my dear friend, @miss_shelrawka ❤️

Miss Shelrawka is a fixture of the Pacific Northwest underground music scene, having made her mark on Seattle since 2008 after relocating from New York City. With nearly two decades behind the decks, her mixing style is defined by surgical precision and a rare fluency across genres, weaving through the full spectrum of Techno and House while keeping the basslines locked and the floor moving. Miss Shelrawka's reputation is built on velvety, multi-genre blends that feel both effortless and intentional, a distinctly technical edge wrapped in something deeply musical. She is a cornerstone of Seattle's underground scene and a consistent draw for anyone who takes the music seriously.

@mkenall (Hemosis) will continue as our mainstay, kicking off our wonderful day party with his deep selection of records.

Hemosis aims to approach existence with playful competence and is in a lifelong love affair with sound. He is currently putting his energy towards refining his synthesis and DJ skills. You can usually find him cutting rugs at your local neighborhood dance floor. "Where da Freqs at?"

Pull your paddle boards up and grab some tasty refreshments. Dance with us. Or sit down and take in the sunlight.

See you on the 19th ☀️💃🍸🕺

Thankful for an incredible visit to Seattle this past weekend. I got to get down to DJ sets by Electric Teel & Matthew Kenall. Plus we got to hang, visit, talk music and life. Electric Teel aka Queenie Nox is deeply knowledgeable about Funk and Soul in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) including Oregon, Washington and BC. I learned about Indigenous funk and soul artists from Seattle & the PNW that I did not know about previously including Archie James Cavannagh who is Tlingit, Pete DePoe who is Micah (Drummer for Redbone) and Saxophonist & singer Jim Pepper who is Kaw and Muscogee. These are innovators of Indigifunk. Respect to the ones that came before us! Curtis Clear Sky and the Constellationz recognize the legacy and vibe of West Coast Indigifunk. All my relations!
Gratitude to Queenie Nox for sharing the wealth of knowledge!
