Activist with @armnyc_ visited the usual suspects that still use real fur in their blood fashion collections - in solidarity with our Canadian fellow activists. Loud and powerful messages were heard throughout Soho, NY, where fur is predominantly bought, sold and worn. Swipe ➡️

We relaunched the campaign against Mackage, shut down Woolrich AGAIN, protested American designer Marc Jacobs @nychatesmarcjacobs , Louis Vuitton, and bloodied/destroyed a fur coat on @itsjamielogan while passersby watched and filmed. (90% of fur coats or trims donated are sent to wildlife rehabbers to comfort orphan animals. 10% are used for actions & educational purpose.)

Our demands are quite simple:
• stop torturing/killing animals for their fur, and profit
• publicly announce/commit to a fur-free policy now

We will never give in, not until @mackage.quebec #mackagesoho @woolrich @louisvuitton all stop the killing. Commit to a #furfreepolicy or keep seeing our faces because torturing, anally electrocuting, trapping, skinning defenseless animals (often alive) for profit makes these brands trash🗑️

NYC •Montreal • Toronto🚨

N.Y.C. will be joining Montreal and several other cities in a show of international unity protesting against animal cruelty in the Canadian fur trade.

Previously Mackage made a public announcement in 2021 that their retail stores would be going fur free but after a gracious amount of time, years, they have not bothered to take any concrete steps to fulfil their promises. It’s 2024. If anything, it has stocked up on new inventory this season. Mackage and it’s CEO, Tanya Golesic gives us no choice but to return to its New York City location with a furry!
