We are pleased to introduce our Talent Recruitment & Artist Management
Team: Sarah Djato, Sade Taiwo, Shelton Mercer, and Kara Butler. As well as our small but mighty finance team member: Michael Konu! Enjoy learning about their creative outlets and motivations for the year <3

Sarah’s main creative outlet is poetry, which was on display visually in our last exhibit. She aims to “....provide a platform for Black creatives to be able to express themselves authentically. “

Sade has explored a new favorite medium of hers, “I have a few different creative outlets that I try to tap into, but one that I've been exploring more is collage art. I started doing it in high school, but I've only recently been dedicating more time to it. It’s definitely been a great outlet to process my experiences in the past year.”

Shelton is a small business owner and filmmaker that has a unique vantage point when approaching art, “I like to explore the cutting edge technology and intersect it with art. I.e: NFTs, interactive media and virtual reality, AI generated art, and much more.”
He wants to help connect local artists of color with Penn creatives and resources.

Kara Butler’s main creative outlet is drawing, “I really love drawing! I've always had trouble telling people how I feel in words, but with drawing, I don't have to say a thing. Whenever I feel lonely, or mad, I can always draw it out. I can turn a bad feeling into something I'm proud of, something I think is beautiful.”

Michael is carrying our organizations finances and is committed to aiding in Monoliths growth through acquiring resources through “...bringing some proactive thinking about possible areas for sourcing funds (e.g., new grant applications, sponsorship opportunities, etc) , organizational clarity about financial matters”
