SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Mary-Kathryn Irby 🐶

Mary-Kathryn has been on the FHS golf team for three years and has been playing golf for four years.
Her best round is an 81.

She plays golf because her entire family plays, so it’s a great way to connect with them.

Her favorite memory is playing Kingswood paired with Blake Grammer and/or going to lunch with the team after rounds.

She doesn’t have a nickname, but if she did, it might be Superstar!
She eats a sliced apple every round.

After high school, Mary-Kathryn will major in pre-med with the goal of attending medical school.

Her advice to younger golfers: “Slow down and enjoy your rounds instead of stressing about your score.”

state champs!! 😆😆

i am so beyond proud of my team and everything we’ve accomplished. these last four years have given me some of the best memories and friendships that i will cherish forever. i couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish my last high school tournament with my team.

thank you to my family, teammates, and friends who have constantly supported and encouraged me through it all. and most importantly, thank you coach rains for making my experience as a mountie golfer better than i ever could have imagined. i will forever be grateful for these four years and everything this sport has given me. all glory to God!!

individually: 78 & 72 — 3rd overall + qualified for overalls!
