⭐️ Audition for the Dogwood Youth Ensemble!

📅 Auditions are August 23! Want to see what we’re all about before auditioning? Join us for Company Class this Sunday from 10-11:30 at Richmond Movement Center we’d love to have you!

For the past 13 years, Dogwood Dance Project has offered this completely free program for high school dancers to train in a professional company setting.

As a Youth Ensemble dancer, you’ll:
• Train alongside our professional company
• Create and perform new work with Central Virginia choreographers
• Perform in our annual Season Concert
• Gain leadership experience through community events

We’re proud to have seen alumni continue their dance training at programs like JMU, George Mason, William & Mary, ODU, Towson, Radford, and more—and many have returned to dance with Dogwood or contribute to Richmond’s dance community.

📍 Open to dancers in 9th grade and up (mature middle school dancers may audition with a teacher recommendation).

🌿 The audition registration form and Youth Ensemble FAQs are available at the link in our bio. We can’t wait to meet you!

Meet our SENIORS!

IZZIE | Most likely to give us a leg moment

We’ve watched our Izzie grow into a beautiful, talented and dedicated dancer and all-around awesome human. She’s a serene presence and helps everyone feel calm. JMU will be lucky to have her as well!
