I hand-dyed, San Diego sun-bleached and violently broke-down vintage pieces by; @driesvannoten , @maxmara and @antoniomarrasofficial @margaretoleary with a needed message to share when costume designing for this profound short film. @thetaleofavillage is based on the Magdalene Laundries.
Starring super talented newcomer @mkshul @thetaleofavillage

These were penitentiary workhouses operated by Roman Catholic orders. They housed women and young girls labeled as “fallen”—which included unmarried mothers, victims of sexual abuse, those with developmental disabilities, or girls deemed “too attractive” or rebellious. An estimated 30,000 women passed through these laundries, where they were forced to perform grueling, unpaid manual labor under severe psychological and physical abuse. The last laundry did not close until 1996.

I am feeling a lot of things right now. ❤️ The fact that our two-year film festival run just ended with these final two awards means more to me than I can even put into words. Thank you to my amazing Cast & Crew. None of this could’ve ever happened without each of you. 🎥 And thank you, God Almighty. ***I will never know why I didn’t die that morning… but maybe someday I will find out.*** 🙏🙏🙏

Catharsis Theatre Collective presents Heroes of the Fourth Turning by Will Arbery.

Wyoming. One week after Charlottesville. Four young conservative Catholics gather late at night following the inauguration of their mentor as president of a small Catholic college. What begins as a celebration becomes a confrontation over faith, politics, friendship, and the future of their country.

Funny, unsettling, and deeply human, Heroes of the Fourth Turning is a portrait of a generation wrestling with its beliefs—and with one another.

August 14–30 at The Broadwater Black Box.
🎟️ Tickets at the link in bio.
