Last week to experience The Hand Knows What the Mind Forgets.

Sergei Kurek’s work doesn’t begin with an idea, it begins with listening: to discarded materials, to rhythm, to touch, to intuition. Across found-object jewelry, handmade machines, and impossible constructions that somehow float, this exhibition traces a kind of knowledge stored not in memory, but in the body.

Come spend time with works that ask less to be understood than felt.

Closing this week.

Not precious. Not polite.

This show isn’t about perfect objects. It’s about contact between hand and material, body and thing, person and person.

Working without a fixed plan, @mkzdeserge lets the materials guide the way, following what they seem to be asking for. A work is finished, he says, when it makes him laugh!

Sergei Kurek moves fluidly between music, sculpture, and jewelry, assembling works from found hardware (springs, bolts, plumbing, and electrical parts) into objects that are loose, cool, and a little dangerous - just like his music!

Springs become rings. Bolts turn into bracelets. Pieces that feel good to wear, that say something without trying too hard. A bit punk, a bit personal.
