Alvarez will return in ‘27 as our top seed. Tip of the cap to Max Muncy who came within a swing or two of winning this as an unseeded participant. He will be the 2-seed next year.

Dodgers dominated the later rounds of the even-side bracket. Does the Max Munch revenge tour continue? Either way, what a show..

Final Four: Bobby Witt, Jr vs. Yordan Alvarez #timingfiles

— Semifinal 1 -
1-seed BWJ vs. MVP Alvarez

Two OG timing experts.

Notice how many of the top seeds made it to the Quarterfinals? Guys that I have known to be consistent, just didn’t have the data yet. Freeman, Harper, Witt, Alvarez... all proving my point. This is a skill.

Last Quarterfinal is Bobby Witt, Jr. vs. Bryce Harper #timingfiles

I continued tracking AB chronologically so I will have some to work with in the semifinals and beyond. It’s looking like I’ll have to pull some older plate appearances as well.

Cubs’ Seiya Suzuki vs. Dodger underdog Max Muncy #timingfiles

🏆 Timing Tournament Quarterfinals continues! This is a truly unreal timing display from Muncy. He was not a top seed, but that’s looking like a mistake.

MVP (5) Yordan Alvarez vs. HR King (15) Kyle Schwarber #timingfiles

🏆 Timing Tournament Quarterfinals kicks off with… a tie. You could argue that Schwarber’s ability to be on time this much despite despite walking 10 times in the quest for a 25 AB sample.

But Yordan gets the nod as the higher seed, better production, and previous 2 rounds of scores give him the edge.
