I cannot handle how amazing @forgottenislandmovie was. Legit might be one of my favorite movies of the year. The lore! The music! The visuals! The humor! They went SO HARD representing our culture.

It’s like The Hangover meets Inception meets Moana. A little unhinged in the best way, even a lil scary, and HELLA GOOD.

And the DETAILS!!! The fact that they even had GIGIL in there?! I was gigil over the fact that they included gigil 😂 Like COME ONNNN.

Seeing so much of myself, my family and our culture reflected in these characters on the BIG SCREEN?! I felt so seen 🥹🇵🇭 And watching it in a theater packed with kababayan made it even more special.

I’m obsessed. TAYO NA!!!

I honestly had no idea how many Filipino organizations were out here in Georgia, where everybody been at?!

Cool to see everyone gathered in one room celebrating Philippine Independence Day.. my favorite was seeing everyone dressed OUT and styled para sa kultura…so many OGs out here. I loved the LuzViMinda displays showcasing regions and they had cosplayers of LapuLapu and McArthur haha

Appreciated the cultural dances cause I grew up having to do that too 😅 Finally got to wear my @vintagallery bolero butterfly sleeves tho

Good Luck Smoke Show by @sweetauburnbbq was my kind of bigback block party, so fun. I’m still full just thinking about it 🍽️🤤 “flavor!”

Even with the rain the vibes were high, the food and drinks were all 🔥, community was out, lion dancers came through and the music was hype…the best way to celebrate AAPI month

My face hurts, I love this community so much. The people showed up and raised $3k over the fundraiser goal before 1pm. Thank you @cakepharmacyatl for organizing ATL’s Ice Cakes Not People Bake Sale, and to all the folks I met over the treat table💛

Yesterday’s @communityfarmersmarkets Lady Locavores, as always, was fun and a wonderful way to honor women who are trailblazers, advocates, and
change-makers.

To be this year’s recipient of the Lady Locavores Chef Award is a privilege.
I dedicate it to all other immigrant female chefs who lead with integrity and compassion.

And to my dear friend @thechaibox , thank you for highlighting the causes that truly matter to me.

I’m so glad I got to celebrate with several of my favorite women. And with Carlo, of course! 💜

This is not about validation but connection.
May you always be seen and heard for who you are.

Lunar New Year festivities recap

@asianaaf casino night fundraiser was so dope, felt like Crazy Rich Asians for a minute and I even learned how to play craps 🎲

@decaturlny @rebelteahouse is always fun. I really enjoyed seeing everyone rockin my fire horse design this year…I don’t vend often, but I really enjoyed this one… good energy, good people, and a whole lot of celebration. Shoot, I kept getting fed, everyone bringing me food to my lil booth felt like a celebration! And shoutout to the homie @saraheduff for helping me out and the homies for always supportin and vibin with me!

the past few weeks have reminded me community is everything.

there’s something powerful about standing together with people who care. about calling out bullshit. about showing up. even when it’s hard, even when it feels like we’re just one small part—being there matters.

i’m holding onto that energy. that we keep building it. that we stay connected to each other through all of it—the heaviness, the hope, the everyday work of showing up. 🫂✨🪴🌞🌎🍃🫶🏻
