POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Who has made an impact on YOUR life?

Behind every champion is someone who believed in them. Someone who offered encouragement, opened a door, shared wisdom, or simply showed up when it mattered most.

At our 2026 Wrestling for Peace Gala, we celebrated extraordinary individuals who remind us that wrestling is about so much more than what happens on the mat. It is about leadership, service, character, and a purpose beyond the podium.

Our 2026 Gala Honorees:

Pete DeLaRosa
Tim Hess
Justin Rademacher
Kerry McCoy
Matt Lindland and Team Quest
Ivan Ivanov
Michelle Bender

Take a moment to watch our Gala video. Hear the stories, celebrate their impact, and feel the heart behind the Wrestling for Peace movement.

Here is our challenge to you: Has one of these individuals made a difference in your life? Has a coach, teammate, mentor, or friend helped shape the person you are today?

Reach out. Send a message. Make a call. Say THANK YOU.

Never underestimate the power of letting someone know their life has made a difference in yours.

Let us celebrate those who are making an impact and inspire the next generation to do the same.

Watch, share, and join the movement at WrestlingForPeace.org

Peace is not built alone.

It happens when people choose to cross borders, build relationships and work together toward something bigger than themselves.

At this year’s Gala, we were honored to recognize Ivan Ivanov as our 2026 International Partnership Award recipient.

Ivan is a Bulgarian World Silver Medalist, former Olympian, coach and founder of Suples and Suples Wrestling Club.

Together with his family, he has built Suples into a global wrestling training and education company based in Boise, Idaho.

For the past two years, Ivan and Suples have been among our most important partners in the Wrestling for Peace Global Campaign.

Through that partnership, they have helped equip athletes, support wrestling communities and extend the reach of our mission around the world.

But partnership is about more than what we accomplish together.

It is about believing in the same vision.

It is about opening doors for one another.

It is about sharing resources, relationships and opportunities so that together we can create an impact that none of us could create alone.

Ivan, thank you for believing in Wrestling for Peace, for standing alongside us and for helping turn a shared vision into meaningful action around the world.

Your partnership reminds us that wrestling has the power to do more than bring people together on the mat.

It can bring people together across borders.

Please join me in congratulating our 2026 International Partnership Award recipient, Ivan Ivanov.

It was an honor to present this award and celebrate a partnership that continues to grow the Wrestling for Peace mission around the world.

Different countries.
Different cultures.
One shared vision.
One wrestling community.

Strong communities are built when we choose to show up for one another.

It was an honor to recognize Matt Lindland and Team Quest in Rockwood as our 2026 Bryan Bollman Community Champions at this year’s Gala.

This award carries a very special name.

The Bryan Bollman Community Champion Award recognizes people who understand that community is not simply a place. It is people choosing to invest in one another, lift one another up and make a difference together.

Matt and Team Quest embody that spirit.

Empowering youth. Building character. Changing lives.

Built on a foundation of amateur wrestling, Team Quest has produced champions at the highest levels while continuing to invest in young athletes and the Rockwood community.

At the heart of that work is Matt Lindland, an Olympic Silver Medalist, World Championship Silver Medalist and coach of two U.S. Olympic Wrestling Teams.

But tonight was about more than wrestling accomplishments.

It was about what happens when champions choose to give back.

Matt and Team Quest are creating opportunities for young people, building character and strengthening the community through the lessons and values of wrestling.

We were proud to honor their work with a $2,500 check to help continue their impact in Rockwood.

That is what it means to be a Community Champion.

Matt and Team Quest, thank you for showing up, investing in young people and reminding us that the greatest impact we can make is often found in the lives we help shape right in our own community.

And it was especially meaningful to have Bryan Bollman himself present the award that carries his name.

Please join me in congratulating our 2026 Bryan Bollman Community Champions, Matt Lindland and Team Quest.

Community is built one person, one relationship and one opportunity at a time.

It was truly an honor to be at the annual Gala for @wrestling4peace again. This is such an incredible organization and what it’s doing to promote peace globally through the great sport of wrestling. I was able to give out the award and a nice check for Community Champion to my friend @mlindland and his amazing efforts to help underprivileged kids and bring them into his gym @teamquestmma to give them hope, encouragement, and purpose. And most of all, I got to have my amazing wife @jolenebollman join me this time! God is good. Please check out this great organization @wrestling4peace and give if you can to help them further their reach.

Wrestling for Peace is proud to announce that Team Quest of Portland, Oregon, has been selected to receive the Bryan Bollman Community Champion Award, recognizing the team’s outstanding commitment to using wrestling and combat sports to strengthen and serve its community. Team Quest is led by Coach Matt Lindland, an Olympic silver medalist, accomplished wrestler, and longtime coach who has dedicated his career to developing athletes both on and off the mat. Under his leadership, Team Quest has become a place where athletes of all ages can develop not only their wrestling skills, but also the discipline, perseverance, humility, and sportsmanship that carry far beyond competition.

Team Quest’s impact extends well beyond the wrestling room. Through its work with young athletes, the program provides opportunities that help build confidence, discipline, courage, and positive relationships while creating a safe and supportive environment for children and families. The team has worked to make wrestling accessible to young people regardless of their circumstances and has fostered a culture of mentorship in which former athletes return to give back and help develop the next generation. Team Quest embodies the spirit of the Bryan Bollman Community Champion Award and the mission of Wrestling for Peace—using wrestling as a vehicle to build stronger athletes, stronger families, and stronger communities. Join us in celebrating Team Quest at our Gala on October 2 in Portland, Oregon!
