🎬✨ Meet Melissa — Head of Story at Docs Animation! ✨🎨 Melissa doesn’t just like story… she IS story. 📖🔥 She eats story. She breathes story. She sleeps—wait, no, correction—she hasn’t slept since 2019. Her blood type is 3-Act Structure. Her favorite meal? Emotional arcs with a side of rising tension. She doesn’t walk—she storyboards her way from one room to another. 🌀 When most people dream, Melissa’s brain just runs animatics in widescreen HD. 🎥 She’s been known to pitch story ideas to wild animals, rewrite weather patterns for stronger plot twists, and once storyboarded a cloud formation just because it had potential. ☁️✏️ That’s how we do it here at Docs Animation — where passion meets chaos, deadlines meet destiny, and no one’s completely sane (but we’re all having the time of our lives). Does this sound like something you’d like to do? Then you’re either crazy… or you’ll join us. (Or both.) 😎🔥 ⸻ #DocsAnimation #MelissaTheStoryMachine #StoryboardLife #AnimationCommunity #AnimationHumor #AnimatorLife #Storyboarding #2DAnimation #TraditionalAnimation #CreativeInsanity #AnimationStudio #FrameByFrame #CharacterDevelopment #DocsCrew #AnimationCollective #IndieAnimation #BehindTheScenes #CrazyAboutStory #StoryAddict #JoinTheCrew

✨Just wrapped one of our high-level Docs Animation business meetings and WOW… the decisions were next level.✨ 🛥️ Hanna Zoomed in from her yacht in Dubai (poor signal, but incredible lighting). ✈️ Tristan’s planning the next Docs team retreat in the Maldives, pending final jet clearance. 💼 We debated budgets, art direction, and which champagne brand pairs best with storyboarding. 📈 James Lopez insisted we cut costs—so he downgraded his jet to a smaller private jet. 💎 Len Simon had to leave early for a private screening of Cowabunga at the Palace of Versailles. 🖼️ Visual dev was handled while being fanned by servants in silk gloves and serenaded by live cello. We talked royalties, global IP domination, and which designer brand best complements animators’ hoodies. (Gucci’s still in the lead, but we’re watching Louis.) 🎉 The meeting ended with a toast from our platinum-encrusted Cintiqs. And then—we all went out for chili dogs. Because at the end of the day, we’re still animators. 🌭❤️ #DocsAnimation #AnimatorLife #JetSetToOnionRings #IndependentAnimatorLuxury #StoryboardAndCaviar #CintiqAndChampagne #AnimationGrind #ChiliDogCrew #FromDubaiToDogHaus #JamesLopezKnows #LenSimonEmpire #IndieAnimationGlam #CartoonTycoons #DocsTakeOver #NextStopVersailles

Big things are brewing over at Docs Animation! Our team is deep in production on For Honor—a wild, expressive animated short that blends epic action with laugh-out-loud humor. This project has been a labor of love, collaboration, and pure creative fun, and now we’re opening the gates for more artists to jump in. We’re currently looking for storyboard artists and story sketch contributors—especially those with a knack for gags, comedic timing, and expressive, simple drawings. If you love the rhythm of a good beat panel, the charm of exaggerated poses, or just enjoy making people laugh through clever visual storytelling, we want YOU in this creative journey. Animation is a team sport, and Docs Animation is all about building a space where passion, talent, and collaboration thrive. Whether you’re a student, a pro, or somewhere in between, this is a great chance to get involved in something unique. We’ll be showcasing our finished short at the Phoenix Animation Expo and other festivals, so come be part of something that will be seen, celebrated, and remembered! Interested? “🐐🎬 End-of-Year Budget Meeting at Wild Goat Animation Collective 🚤🚗 It’s that time of the year again! Our annual budget meeting was all bleats and baahs. Everyone dreamt of their private jet, but hey, we’re keeping it modest this year. Choices were tough - it’s either a yacht or a Rolls Royce. Tough life, right? 🤣 Our animated goats put their best hooves forward, but alas, we had to draw the line somewhere. So, we’re sailing and rolling into the new year in style (just a tad less airborne)! Stay tuned for more wild adventures. And remember, even a goat can dream big! 🌟 #WildGoatCollective #BudgetingLikeABoss #YachtOrRoyce #AnimatedLife #GoatGoals”
