Sometimes, filmmaking is about fixing what went wrong.

While making DARA: A Port Harcourt Love Story?, we had a production error that could have easily affected the scene.

We found a way to fix it in VFX.

In this video, I break down what went wrong, how we approached the problem, and how we transformed the shot from BEFORE ➡️ AFTER.

This is one of those behind-the-scenes moments that reminds you that filmmaking isn't always about getting everything perfect on set. Sometimes, it's about knowing how to solve the problem in post. 🎬

Watch till the end and check out the before-and-after comparison.

What do you think? Did we pull it off? 👀

I’m Orluwene Joan, an Actor and this is my monologue. 🎭

A prisoner. An accusation. An interrogation.
And a story she may not be ready to tell.

Here’s a little piece of my craft. 🎬

He likes her… but watching her with other guys is starting to feel like a trap. 👀

Be honest: Is Dara overreacting, or is Sophie sending mixed signals? 👇🏾

PROCRASTINATION.

Sometimes, the biggest thing standing between us and the life we want isn't a lack of ability, opportunity, or even resources.

Sometimes, it's simply “I'll do it tomorrow.”

We postpone the dream.
We delay the work.
We convince ourselves that we still have time.

And before we realize it, days become weeks, weeks become months, and the things we once promised ourselves we'd do are still sitting somewhere in the future.

This piece is a reflection of that cycle, the battle between knowing you should move and constantly finding a reason not to.

But eventually, there has to be a moment when you stop waiting for the “perfect time” and simply begin.

No more tomorrow.
No more I'll start later.
No more waiting for motivation to find you.

Start. Move. Become.

Proud to have been part of bringing this piece to life not only in front of the camera, but also through the voice behind the story.

🎬 DATE ONE — PART 2 OF 3

Things are getting a little more complicated... 👀

If you watched Part 1, you already know how this date started. But sometimes, the first impression doesn't tell you the whole story.

DATE ONE is a practical short film created by participants of the Cinematography Workshop with RAK.

Watch Part 2 and tell us:

Would you still stay if you were in her shoes? 👀👇

And if you haven't watched Part 1 yet, go back and catch up before continuing!
