Hello, my besties!!! How is 2026 going so far for y'all? 🥹🫶🏻 Ahhh, the very first post of the year is here, hehe!🤭 Thank you to all my loves who send in the recs, I could only add some, but the rest of them I'm saving for the future!🙂‍↕️💗

Anyhow, last year, I failed miserably to complete my 25 books for 2025, so this year, I've included some from that list that I want to really read. This way, I'm hoping to stay motivated and actually complete the challenge this year. I also added my priority tbr as well, which is as always a tad bit ambitious lol 👁👄👁

october was such a vibe for my reading. i kinda went on a book bender because my editing brain was totally fried, so i just read a lil bit of everything. found some absolute bangers that slapped and some that made me wanna yeet myself into another dimension.

i got into a couple of series, which was a whole mood, but also read a bunch of standalones that were life changing. and obvi, my bestie @manaspalaparti and i powered through a bunch of october releases together. we were so hyped for them, but we felt kinda robbed by some of them. like, what was that? 😭 we’re already planning our next reading sesh though.

it’s something i’ve wanted to share for so long: my top fives, bookish edition. but my heart kept tugging me towards something even more special. because what’s a list of favorites without the people who make life’s best moments even better?

so today, i wanted to dedicate this post to two incredibly important souls in my life: @manaspalaparti and @gryjohansson . my forever best friends, my chosen family, my sisters in christ. they’re constant cheerleaders in my corner.

for as long as i can remember, manas and gary have been there. they’ve been my front row audience, offering not judgment, but understanding, comfort, and a much needed dose of perspective. they have this incredible ability to make me feel seen, heard, and genuinely valued, even when i’m at my messiest.

our gcs are legendary, a stream of inside jokes, shared dreams, and the kind of honest conversations that only true best friends can have. they’ve an ability to lift my spirits, and for making me laugh until my sides hurt, even during the toughest times.

manas, gary, if you’re reading this, know that my love for you is immeasurable. creating this post, even with the fun of curating our top top fives, was truly a hundred times better. it didn’t even surprise me that we all get along so easily. it’s no wonder when we share such a similar taste in everything we read. you make this community brighter, more beautiful place simply by being in it. thank you for everything. i love y’all to the moon and back 🤧🩷
