Dear Baseball,

I don’t really know how to say goodbye to something that has been such a huge part of my life.

You taught me that success doesn’t come easy. You taught me how to deal with failure, how to keep going when things don’t go my way, and how important it is to trust the people beside me. Some of my best friendships and favorite memories came from a baseball field.

I’ll miss the excitement, the adrenaline, the pressure of a close game, and the feeling of stepping between those lines knowing I had a chance to compete.

Most of all, I’ll miss the person you helped me become.

Thank you for every lesson, every teammate, every coach, every win, every loss, and every moment. I may be saying goodbye to baseball, but I’ll carry everything you gave me into whatever comes next.

This isn’t goodbye because I stopped loving you. It’s goodbye because it’s time for a new chapter.

Thank you, baseball. I’ll always be grateful for you.
