Orientation was so so incredible (tommy gang I can't tag everyone so please say hi)❤️💛 Also there were three birthdays this month but only one of them was important and it wasn't the one for the country so hopefully that narrows it down.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but I have 3. This. Is. Family.

Putting into words what I experienced this week is impossible, but here’s my best attempt at it! If you didn’t know (or haven’t seen my story over the past week), last summer I was given the opportunity to go to Washington, D.C. for NRECA’s annual Youth Tour, where I formed connections and learned about how important rural electrification is. I was also selected to represent Pennsylvania on the national stage, as a part of Youth Leadership Council. Flash forward through a year of lots of Zoom calls, text messages, and funny snaps from everyone on YLC, we made it. Atlanta. From the first second I stepped off that plane, I felt like I was home. Joining everyone who I had only seen through a screen felt unreal. But wow, was it amazing. I met my people this week, my YLC family forever. From all the funny Room 320 talks with my boys, to snapping pictures of LITERALLY EVERYTHING (filled a 128 gigabyte card for reference), to watching my best friends KILL what they came here to do, this week has meant the most to me. Y’all helped me build a home, a family of people who mean the most. These memories will never been forgotten. @cale_mccall , it was an honor to be apart of your first group of YLCsters, and might I said, YOU ABSOLUTELY SLAYED!!! Thank you for being an amazing role-model and leader. Shana, words cannot describe how happy I am to have met you and built a friendship with you. You opened doors this week that I don’t think would have ever been opened for me. Abby, Gabi, Rye, Alaina, Mayme, Jude, Landry, Syd, Amanda, and Shelley HOLY SMOKES, y’all made this week phenomenal. To my YLCsters, I love you all. So. Freaking. Much. To my fam, I’ve never felt more accepted by anyone. To SREC, PREA, and NRECA, thank you for provided me this opportunity to meet those who I’ve come to cherish with all my heart. The amount of support this week from everyone was amazing. It was my honor to be y’all’s personal photographer, but more importantly than that, to be y’all’s family. But with that being said, Brandon Hurley, PA’s 2024-2025 YLC Representative, signing off 🫶🏻
