Annual PNW trip to see the fam + friends 💚 Part 1.

So thankful for these yearly memories, the time spent together, and the people I get to share them with. Until next time 🌲✨

Sometimes, the best days are the ones that begin with a walk-on ferry ride to see your bestie in Poulsbo.

This visit was extra sweet (literally) thanks to her incredible Ube Coconut ice cream sandwich from @melisislandtreats. We picked wildflowers from her garden, spent time with my godchildren, enjoyed a much needed girls’ date, and wandered the beach together. In my opinion, that’s a perfect day.

And somewhere in between it all, we were both wearing a mix of new and old pieces from Malia Storm Collection, a simple reminder that jewelry isn’t just something you wear. It becomes part of the memories you make and the people you share them with.

Meli has been one of my biggest supporters since long before Malia Storm Collection became a business. Back when jewelry was simply the creative outlet I turned to for balance, healing, and peace. Watching each other grow into mamas, entrepreneurs, and women chasing the lives we once dreamed about is something I never take for granted.

I’m especially grateful for a friend like her. She’s the kind of person who shows up, cheers you on without hesitation, celebrates your wins as if they’re her own, and makes everyone around her feel seen, loved, and capable. Friends like that are rare, and I never want to take them for granted.

Leaving today with a full heart and a gentle reminder to hold your people close. The ones who celebrate you, believe in you, laugh with you, and make the everyday moments feel unforgettable. They’re some of life’s greatest treasures.

I want to address why I’ve been so silent on here for the past few months… I lost someone very important to me 3 months ago. Since then, I haven’t felt motivated or creative in the way that I’m used to. I am very much grieving. I absolutely love #baking, and hope with time, I am able to come back to this art form I adore, and use it as an outlet, as well as a way to connect to you all.
When my aunty was sick, I told her the only thing I wanted her to leave me was her journals. I acquired them a couple of weeks ago and found this little treasure in one of them, a poem she wrote to me when I was 12. If my aunty had lived to be 100, I still would have been left wanting more, asking her to stay longer. She was always my favorite, and I miss her so so much 💜
“Every time I leave your home
returning to the life l’ve known
no child, no noise - just cat and phone.
I miss you tugging at my sleeve
‘no auntie, no, oh please don’t leave!
Why must you go, oh can’t you stay
perhaps for just another day?
Or better yet another week,
just one more day is far too bleak;
or best of all just stay a year,
you can stay with us right here’.”

Loved working with these two. You might have seen James around town with @jamesleemurraymusic or as a local author of Jellyfish Kite, a sweet children’s book you can now find at Barnes and Noble. Meli is the talented creator of @melisislandtreats delightful treats with a tropical twist brought from her home in Hawaii.

Make sure to check them out!

It’s a wonderful feeling to know that you are with the person you want to be with #forever. Happy #Anniversary my love @jamesleemurraymusic , I’m so glad we found each other ❤️❤️❤️ 10 years together, 6 years #married. I love you.

SWIPE TO SEE the most recent pic we took together, and the very first picture of James and I “together” 😅 2005, we met at a party, and 7 years later we started dating!
