If you're not supporting families in Ga•a because you think you can't make a difference, it's just not true.

You don't need a lot if you work together with your friends. Ask 9 people you know to join you in skipping one dinner out every month, pool those resources, and direct them to Wasim, our featured family this week. 🩷

"I am Wasim from G•za, and in this w•r I have lost everything… My house was destroyed, my money is gone, and my source of livelihood has ended. My children do not have the simplest necessities of life: no food, no milk, no clean water, and even diapers have become a distant dream.

My daughter Mervat has never known a normal childhood. Since her birth, she has lived amid wars and famine, yet she dreams of playing and laughing like other children in the world, far from fear and hunger.

My little daughter Sila was born in the heart of w•r, under difficult circumstances where I could not provide her with milk or diapers. My children’s frail bodies suffer from illness and malnutrition, and they can no longer move freely or enjoy their childhood.

I appeal to compassionate hearts to stand with us now, to give Mervat and Sila a chance to live their childhood in peace and dignity, and to help them survive hunger, disease, and cold."

Direct support is the only in/come for nearly everyone living through this unimaginable situation. One-time commitments are every bit as essential and cherished as monthly recurring ones, but monthly means predictability and the ability to budget a little bit.

HOW THIS WORKS

GATHER: 10 friends, work buddies, etc.
ALL SKIP: 1 dinner out per month (about §40)
ALL SAVE: what you would’ve spent
ALL GO TO: @‌pal_collective
TAP ON: 🔗 i n b i o
FIND: Wasim is right at the top
ALL SEND: Their support for the month
HOORAY! 400 d o l l a r s for food, clean water, and daily essentials!

🩷 Love and thanks to ALL for being a lifeline. They have no other source of in/come right now.

How can something as innocent and life affirming as planting trees be used as a cover to negate ethnic cleansing and ecocide without even needing to deny it? In the first chapter, “Sustainability”, of the book Tolerance Is a Wasteland: Palestine and the culture of denial, Makdisi explores how Israel has used afforestation to commit ecocide and cover up ethnic cleansing in Palestine in order to “reclaim” the landscape from indigenous Palestinians, but how, by affirming ecological value of afforestation, Israel has been able to negate this reality without even needing to deny it.

The book explores how Israel manages to portray itself as a state embodying virtues such as sustainability, multicultural tolerance, and progressive democracy despite it being historically as well as presently, a violent racist settler colonial project of ethnic cleansing, ecocide, dispossession, and apartheid by carefully and intentionally managing and tempering outside perception of itself. And how by continuing to loudly affirm those values, it manages to fold away the actual unjust and violent reality into “a carefully managed void” without even needing to deny it.

Many of us are helping families and we don't have to do it alone. Team up with a trusted individual or direct support initiative like our friends at G4G and collaborate.

G4G provides weekly support to four large families who have lost their livelihoods, stability, and access to basic needs.

With aid blocked by space invaders and rendering it inconsistent, these families have been left to depend completely on this community.

💸 SEND DIRECT AID to 4 Families in G_za!

as I'm budgeting catch up myself after an accidental pause in my weekly giving, I am wondering how many others might not have contributed toward direct aid to families in G_za recently.

our family is returning to a practice of sustained giving using the autopay option on cash apps. make a single meaningful contribution now, or better, determine how much you can give on an ongoing basis with weekly or monthly contributions.

the Give 4 G_za direct aid fund provides four families with the money they need to keep housing, purchase groceries, seek medical care, and other basics of living. the fund supports at least three dozen people including young children.

🌌 Did you celebrate or post about May the 4th yesterday?
4 large families need us to do more than post.

In 2026, it’s taking at least twice as long to reach weekly goals.
That pace directly affects the only support they receive.

Share this. Leave a comment. Give what you can at G i v e 4 G a za . ORG 🤍

“Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward. And then remember this. The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that. And know this, the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empire’s authority and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege. Remember this. Try.” — Karis Nemik‘s “The Trail of Political Consciousness”
