journal entry: Zoe is the human embodiment of laughter and bubbles. she is buoyant & when I’m around her anything feels possible. there’s a fashion “rule” that before you leave the house you take one accessory off, I like to put more on and I think of Zoe when I do. since she’s moved down to Australia I think of her when I’m cutting ribbon, hot gluing gems or using my rat as outfit inspiration.

speaking of rats I have to be honest I didn’t really want pet rats. I was moving houses and starting law school and it just seemed like a big responsibility but when Zoe asked me to save some lab rats from being euthanized after their experiment I knew I had to. I would do anything for her and I really do love rats & all misunderstood creatures of the world. I loved being able to be rat milfs together & share our love for small little beings.

Zoe doesn’t use rose colored glasses, that’s just the way the world looks when you’re with her. She is strong and resilient. Sharp as a tac and creativity oozes from her. We met in an Honors American Conspiracies class, I fit checked her and the rest is history…literally. We had to create a conspiracy for our final project based on research and we created an hour long podcast about the death of Marilyn Monroe as part of an american policial scheme. I remember looking back in Playboy and Time Magazine archives. To falling asleep while watching another Marilyn Monroe documentary.

I hope everyone is lucky enough to have friends that push you to be the greatest version of yourself. Someone who is a lifelong learner, constantly teaching you new ways to think and look at the world. I know our dreams are possible because we are making them come true. Here’s to living your dreams and many more in this next spin around the sun. I love you Zoe.
