I am humbled and honoured to share that 2 years after Razia and 1 year after Aakhri Baar, I had the opportunity to work under the direction of Sir Mohsin Ali for the 3rd time 🫡

Becoming زہرہ for a project written & directed by him was an experience like Razia (also written & directed by him) but unlike anything that I have done in my acting career so far. Based on true events, this story has shocked my core as an actor.

Releasing Soon🤞

Written by Mohsin Ali and directed by Mujeeb Ul Hassan, Razia is produced by Express Entertainment, starring the phenomenal Mahira Khan in the titular role.

The drama raises crucial questions about patriarchy, gender discrimination, and the silencing of women’s voices, portraying the journey of a woman who refuses to be defined by the limits society imposes. Razia is not just a story — it’s a statement, echoing the struggles and strength of every woman who dares to speak her truth.

I discovered Sami @sami_khan.official through the series Siyaah, and then I found out that my friend @mo_ali_shah also wrote a series in which Sami acted. I watched Aisi Hai Tanhai and loved his work—such a brilliant actor! We started talking because of Mohsin.

Meeting him was a wonderful experience because it felt so effortless. I felt like I had come for a weekend dinner with an old friend—who just happens to be a celebrity! (People were coming up to take selfies and appreciating him so much! And Sami, being the kind soul he is, greeted everyone with love.)

Sami, it was a pleasure meeting you. I look forward to working with you someday, InshaAllah. You are one of a kind—a true Panjabi soul. ❤️

Lamba chalega, boss! ❤️

When we were doing reading sessions, I asked @mo_ali_shah , ”Ismein tamasha wali feel daalte hain?”* Let’s add narration, and before we knew it, we were watching *Tamasha* and diving into its music and emotions. I don’t know why, but whenever it comes to storytelling, only one name comes to mind to follow—*Imtiaz Ali*. Those who know me often joke, *”Yeh toh Imtiaz Ali ki pouti hai!”* ❤️‍🩹

But jokes aside... While working in Express Tv we made *Razia*, and somehow, it reached him.

@iamjassisangha , you made this possible. ❤️

Signed poster by @imtiazaliofficial sir—this is truly wholesome. 😌

I was the Executive producer at Express TV when we made this series, and all I could think about was how many places I could replicate my ideal, Imtiaz Ali. And today, when I saw this poster, I almost burst into tears. It felt like an achievement—a moment where all the hard work I’ve put in finally seemed meaningful. Thank you so much, Imtiaz Ali, for making my day, my month, my year, and my life.*

I’m placing this in my room, where every morning I wake up, I’ll see it and remind myself that I did something amazing. It will be my motivation, my drive to keep going on this long journey ahead.

Crying, brb. ♥️♥️♥️
