Beijing - the first leg of a once in a lifetime trip. Expectations were unknown. A city of contrasts - all in one : Culture, technology, heritage , luxury and Wontons. You had us at hello. Tibet we just landed & already in awe of you 💫

Our first stay at Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing. ♥️

Waking up to views of the iconic clock tower and the Forbidden City, enjoying the little thoughtful details, and having somewhere peaceful to return to after a day of exploring.

For a little while, this felt like our home in Beijing. And what a lovely experience it was.

Apparently I lived in 8 hotels and 2 countries last month…here’s what a month working in travel looked like 👀

Started off the month in Beijing @mo_wangfujing and how stunning is this welcome display? Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to kick off my first trip to China 🇨🇳

and had probably one of the coolest dining experiences…dinner in a traditional Mongolian yurt @mo_wangfujing

Took a plane to @fsguangzhou where I spent WAYYYY too much in the bathroom taking in this view 😍

Seriously though, can you blame me?! 😍 @fsguangzhou

Took a high speed train over to Hong Kong and walked into my room to see the cutest welcome gifts by @stregishk

My first time working with @stregishotels and I’m a fan! The service, food, decor, room @stregishk was some of the best I’ve experienced 🔥

Probably one of my favorite cities in China, Shenzhen! I felt like I had time traveled into the future and I don’t think anywhere can beat the views from @rafflesshenzhen

Got to see a robot making coffee which was INSANE!

Visited one of my bucket list destinations since I was 15 and this was the view from my room @wshanghai

Tbh some of the best views in the city @wshanghai

Then experienced a different part of Shanghai @editionshanghai

After an INSANE trip to China, headed over to someplace a bit more BLUE 🩵

Specifically this shade of BLUE 😍

Worked with one of the first Maldives resorts to have opened @barosmaldives and even got to host my @glo.trips workshops for the guest 🥹

Then flew over to @milaidhoo to host another 🫶🏽

Took in lots of sun…

made some new friends…

and enjoyed the perfect end to the perfect days in paradise 💕

Your hotel is your home in another city, so I really don’t want it to feel like it could be anywhere in the world.

@mo_wangfujing did that so well.

From the view of the Forbidden City right outside, to the welcome amenities and all the little Beijing-inspired touches throughout the stay, there was such a strong sense of place.

Luxury is about noticing the little things, understanding the destination, and creating an experience that feels like it could only exist exactly where it is.
