Undeniably comforting and fearlessly spiced, the butter chicken brings a familiar flavour bolstered by fragrant spices and finishing touches. A bit of oil separation on top signals a proper, unhurried cook; the profile leans herbaceous and spiced rather than sweet, with distinct but mild tomato undertones. The chicken is marinated and cooked before dipping into the curry, and signals for the naan to follow suit. For something bolder, spicy, warming and deeply savory, the Nihari keeps your taste buds company. Chunks of tender goat arrive with a mildly caprine aroma, a tender bite, and unlock their full potential with the rich curry. Finally, where would this be without jalebi? Freshly fried, nutty and addictively crispy without being overly greasy, holding onto its crunch despite being soaked in a sweet rose syrup. The sweetness is balanced with the tart Granny Smith within, turned gooey; crushed pistachios add a fragrant, nutty crunch to round things out. While the ice cream helps balance the sweetness, it has an icy texture and pungent vanillin flavour – perhaps reminiscent of those giant tubs in the freezer section. ⭐Bredgy Stars: ⭐⭐⭐🌟 🥢: OG Butter Chicken, Mutton Nihari, Apple Jalebi 🏪: @mobarestaurant_toronto #asian #asianfood #asiancooking #asia #indian #india #indianfood #chicken #butter #goat #sheep #dessert #desserts #sweet #sweets #sugar #apple

First comes flavour, and then the fire; juicy chunks of chicken have become smoky and spicy from the charred yogurt marinade, empowered with bhut jolokia. Each bite bursts with chicken juices, embracing your palate with a warm, herbaceous and tangy flavour without being overwhelmed by the spice. However, it comes off as salty, so the housemade mint chutney and a dot of creamy raita help compensate and cool the palate, but it would greatly benefit from rice. Then a tangy treatment to temper the tantrum. Tender, soft chunks of soya chaap have a gentle give and distinct char, serving as a base for the malai cream. Creamy, tangy, cheesy, and generously seasoned. It’s luxurious without being heavy, again with mint chutney for an herbaceous contrast. Indian cuisine has vegetarian figured out. Not to forget the dainty amuse, a small bite of freshly fried samosa that delivers the classic flavour profile – tender potatoes, peas, garam masala – with a crunchy shell and a squeeze of tangy tamarind chutney. ⭐Bredgy Stars: ⭐⭐⭐🌟 🥢: Bhut Jolokia Chicken Tikka, Malai Soya Chaap, Samosa Amuse 🏪: @mobarestaurant_toronto #chicken #indian #indianfood #india #bbq #grill #tandoor #cream #yogurt #samosa #potatoes #potato #amuse
