Matthew Morris – "Until Falling Things Work".

I folded into the development of this show to capture footage to make this film.

"Folding in" is how it feels to capture an artist's work. Like the work is an ocean, and I become a part of the ocean for a while.

It's marketing material that is the output, but I consider this "folding into" someone elses work, part of my own practice. And it doesn't feel like a choice to connect to the work in this way.

Choreographer Philip Connaughton brings together seven internationally acclaimed dancers aged 46 to 86 and renowned composer-musician Mel Mercier for a striking new live performance charged with presence, urgency and defiance.

Combining dance, live music and personal testimony, Rebellious Hope offers a rare encounter with performers whose vulnerability and virtuosity are shaped by decades of lived experience.

Rebellious Hope explores endurance, desire, memory and asks what remains, what endures and what compels us to carry on.

A provocative new large-scale work from leading theatre artist Veronica Coburn, created in collaboration with Sinéad Diskin, co-produced with, and performed by Sibéal Davitt. Without Distinction of Sex confronts the violent legacy of Article 41 and the State's control of women's bodies, identities and freedoms.

In this edition of In Conversation, we shine a light on Until Falling Things Work, a new dance work by Matthew Morris, premiering at The Blue Room Theatre from 13th to 16th May. The architecture of our histories, the building blocks of our existence, is hidden between the cracks and visible to those who dare to see. This performance shares the stories of how one man’s life touches the world through poetic prose and dance. Moments in memory and time upend and suspend a life less ordinary.
