Peaceful World will forever have my heart 💓

This was a small festival that I attended in July, brought together by @mobiusloopmusic and other wonderful people. So much love, kindness and compassion for all beings was carried throughout the weekend. People were sharing their arts and talents - beautiful music, poetry, yoga, creative workshops, tasty vegan food.. a truly wholesome space and I’m so grateful to have experienced it ⭐️

This past Saturday, we were lucky enough to welcome 18 wonderful volunteers to the sanctuary for a day of helping hands, hard work and lots of love for our animal residents! 🐷🐓💚

We’re so grateful to have such a kind and caring community of people who give up their time to support the sanctuary and help us make life better for the animals.

We couldn’t do what we do without you! 🥰

This is Star.

Star hasn’t had the easiest start to life.

A few weeks ago she had a terrible accident when her leg became caught in netting in a local farmer’s field. Thankfully, Greenwood Sanctuary managed to find her, free her from the netting and get her the care she needed.

Star has been living at the Sanctuary where she has been safe, loved and cared for. Sadly, the damage caused by the accident was irreversible, and her foot could not be saved.

Some vets suggested ending Star's life, but the sanctuary owner was determined to give Star the treatment she needed to live a happy and fulfilled life.

Yesterday, Star underwent surgery to amputate her leg.

The surgery cost £2,400, and we're now hoping to raise enough to help Greenwood Sanctuary cover this unexpected veterinary bill. There are also likely to be additional costs for Star's aftercare and recovery in the coming weeks.

Star really is a fighter. She's now beginning her recovery, but she's going to need plenty of love, attention and care over the weeks ahead as she adjusts to life on three legs.

Greenwood Sanctuary already has so many animals depending on them, and unexpected veterinary bills like this can be a huge financial burden. That's why we are hoping we can come together and help take some of that pressure away from the sanctuary.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help towards the cost of Star's surgery and the aftercare she'll need during her recovery.

Thank you for helping Star and supporting Greenwood Sanctuary. ❤️
