Building my first drum solo p4 - actually playing it! 🥁

First time back on stage in 3 years and threw myself into the deep end with this one 😅 This started as a little scribble in my notebook a few weeks ago and somehow became an actual part of the show.

Pretty cool seeing a tiny concept turn into something I got to play in front of people. Had a lot of fun with this one. Hell yeah 🤝

We’re officially back!

It felt so good to shred the guitar on stage once again with the boys.

We saw so many of you singing our new and older songs. An amazing feeling to debut some of our upcoming songs live too.

For now, thank you everyone who welcomed us back last night, and our whole crew for helping us put on an incredible show. You’re all very special to us ❤️

Send your vids my way if you took any of the show!

I went along to their first show in 3 years last night and the energy was crazy.

“MOBS are a Melbourne indie pop band blending big hooks, nostalgic pop rock energy with a modern edge. After a few years away, the band is back with new music, new shows and more on the way.”

Does anyone else have one absolutely shocking practice and then spend the next 3 days thinking about it like you’ve suddenly forgotten how to play???

Love overthinking things I already know I can do..

Anyway, part 3 of building my first drum solo somehow became me analysing my posture, pulling my kit apart and trying to stop hiding behind it.

Hopefully once I stop thinking about where everything is, I can just do the fkn thing 🤣

2 days till go time✌🏼

Never Again drum play through 🥁 Slowly getting the parts dialled in for next week at the leady. I love playing this one - I snuck a little bit of Jimmy Eat World influence in there. First time playing it live next Saturday. Can’t wait 🤝

Breaking down MOBS songs: Say Anything 🎬🥁

This was one of our first real deep dives into 80s music. The idea was what if we wrote a song around a movie?

We leaned heavily into Peter Gabriel’s In Your Eyes, Manu Katché’s drumming and those huge Phil Collins gated drum sounds.

It’s like years old now, and every time I play it I still find new grooves, fills and ways to approach it.
