Our 6th #midweekmacewalk in the books. People on the trail who’ve seen us every week are starting to ask what we do with “that thing.” I’ve gotten several phone numbers from strangers to text them the link to sign up 😄

We’re on for next week. It’s Fall Break, sign up on @anthroproach dot com if you need me to bring you a mace.

I wish this song was called Steel Mace.

Thank you to my students who always take photos and videos for me, and to the guy on a one-wheel who took a video and sent it to me 😂 gracias.

Beautiful mace walk today. My big sis came because it’s her bday!!! And we didn’t even take a selfie. 😭 Happy birthday @alyson6570 you are truly the best.

Y’all come join us. We leave at 7:45am and get back by 8:45.

“I like to let Summer Simmer in September
As the hot days Linger just a little Longer
Just a few more wanders down to the creek
Before Autumn will finally blow through and
We will meet
Cheek to Cheek 💋
The brisk wind against my face
The feeling of nostalgia of some place
I like to Soak in my Seasons
Giving them their full time & space
I Indulge in each embrace
From bare feet in the grass
The clothes that bearly hang on to my…
Shoulders
To a cozy soup soire by the fire 🔥
in my favorite sweater
No season is better
than the other
I value every season of weather
for each Season of Self
that comes through
Who I am when the flowers bloom vs
Who I am when the skies are all grey & gloom
I let it simmer 🍲
Like a Love I want to Last
Enjoying it fully before it
Becomes the Past
How Summer comes in Real Rash
Yet Slooows down on the way out
September isn’t eager
It’s soft & steady
As it lets Fall walk about
Getting us ready
for Winters Pace
Letting us enjoy the last Taste
of the garden
Simmering in all its flavors
Just one more savor
One last time
Before this summer becomes a memory in our minds”👣

WHAT IS JIN SHIN JYUTSU?

Jin Shin Jyutsu is Japanese acupressure therapy using gentle hand touch.

Sometimes referred to as “needleless acupuncture” or polarity therapy, this modality works along the body’s energy centers, renewing the natural flow of vitality, relieving physical and emotional imbalances that cause health challenges like pain, digestive issues and sleep disturbances.

Recognized as Complementary Alternative Medicine, Jin Shin Jyutsu is drug-free, non-invasive and safe for all ages.

Let’s do some acupressure to support ourselves when feeling fear or depression. Sit or lie down comfortably and place your right fingertips on your tailbone—this can be palm side or back of the hand. Take the left hand to the right side of the middle of your neck. Hold and breathe for 2–4 minutes, ideally while focusing on gratitude and positive thoughts. ✨

Happy Holding!

let’s get a sense of wellbeing in this new year!

cross your arms to place your left thumb beneath your right collar bone and right thumb beneath your left collar bone. Then wrap your finger along the outside of your shoulder blades to give yourself a kind of calming hug.

Hold and breathe for 3-5 minutes—ideally while visualizing all the good that the new year holds for you!

Let’s support ourselves through stomach cramps or stomach pain. For dispersed pain, place your thumbs together and hold on your lower belly—between your belly button and your pubic bone. For local pain (in one specific spot), you’ll cross your hands and hold the lower belly between the belly button and the pubic bone.

Hold and breathe for 3-5, or even 10 minutes. Let me know how you like this one! Happy holding. ✨🫡

Let’s do some acupressure for jet lag! Support all of your organ systems as you change time zones, by holding the left thumb and fingers with my right fingers. Then you’ll switch. Hold each thumb/finger for a 2-4 minutes to help support your body as you travel—on the place or once you’re in your destination. Just hold and breathe!
