Shoutout to my bro @photosby13waves for hosting another phenomenal beach photo meetup. These gatherings are what made the early days of creating on Instagram so enjoyable and what drove a lot of us to pursue photography more seriously. Always happy to support any event keeping that spirit alive. Special thanks to @neriorange , @icrave_mccraven , @divine____goddess , @queeshthedream / @qtdspam , and @modeldeethang_ for crushing it in front of the lens 🌊.

Our First Showcase Submission Featuring The Beautiful @_modeldeethang_4ever 😍💓

Muse @_modeldeethang_4ever
Photographer and Stylist- Ejai Cook
Make Up- @_modeldeethang_4ever
Jewelry- @lamodabella__
Hair Bundles- @tooluxehair

Dee has been modeling since she was born! She was always dressed up, her mom always took so many pictures of her and loved to practice with her mom’s makeup.

As she grew older she entered Miss Lake County Pageant and modeled in fashion shows as a teenager, winning awards and finding success.

Fast forward she stopped modeling for a decade and started back in 2017 when she was pregnant. Jessica Barger, a Texas photographer motivated her and told her she could make it to the top, just keep doing what she was doing.

That same year she came back to Chicago and continued modeling, it was tough because she did it on her own without help or guidance. She made a modeling page around 2020 & decided to post and network with photographers and from there it’s been going up!

“Modeling has always been something I’ve loved since I was little girl, I consider it my form of art my way to express my feelings in my clothing, make up and poses. Modeling has saved my life struggling with Post Partum Depression. My body has changed, modeling has helped me gain back that bit of confidence to keep going and never give up no matter what life throws at me”

Dee is thankful for the people that have inspired her to create art and thankful for the music that she listens to that has pushed her to gain back her confidence!

Thank you so much Dee for sharing your story and being our first showcase submission! We love how your beauty is inside & out and can’t wait to continue to connect with you on your creative journey 😍💓💘
