A year ago, just a vision. Today, The Landing Exchange is rising, adding 40 apartments through a mixed-income approach, plus new street-level spaces for local businesses.

Swipe ➡️ to see the progress! The first photo was taken a little over a year ago, and the second was taken today. It’s pretty amazing what a difference a year can make! 🏙️✨

The @harperoriginals archive has been humming, flat files open, prints moving, and a story worth telling.

@ford just published it. (Link in Bio and comments) Emily S. Rueb spent weeks with Brett Harper and the Harper team tracing the start of Charley’s work for Ford Times, a collaboration between an artist and a car company long before brands and artists shared a screen. Charley worked with the magazine for more than 30 years. He called the assignment the break of his life. A feeder in the backyard. A field guide that held still. T-squares, French curves, and compasses. Wings instead of feathers. Minimal realism, born in the pages of a pocket magazine that came with the car.

That same Cincinnati story is about to step into the galleries. The Art of Charley Harper: Creatures Wild and Tame opens at the @cincyartmuseum on October 16. Edie McKee Harper: Modernist at Play opens at the @taftmuseum on October 17. Two unassuming sweethearts stepping on to a big stage!

And this weekend, the birds leave the page. Thank you to @the_agar_co , @blinkcincinnati , @graeters , @lightborneinc , and @mercantileimmersive for rolling up their sleeves on Harper Alive! Floor-to-ceiling light, original scores accompanying Harper art come to life. @blinkcincinnati runs October 8–11. Harper Alive at Mercantile Immersive: Friday, October 9, 7–11 p.m.; Saturday, October 10, 1–8 p.m.; Sunday, October 11, 3–11 p.m. Reservations required.

Charley and Edie thought of the people who loved their work as friends. FRIENDS COME AND JOIN US!#charleyharper #harperalive #edieharper #wildlifeart #iconicduo
