In one of the most breathtaking moments of the 2024 Olympics closing ceremony, pianist Alain Roche took center stage—literally suspended in the air—while playing the piano vertically.

His performance was a marvel in itself, but what made it even more extraordinary was the outfit he wore: a masterpiece created by Kevin Germanier from 167 old VHS tapes.

The tapes were found by his mother in Switzerland and include some of his favorite movies…at this point I just hope “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” is there!

JOY, PERIOD

Marc Jacobs is giving us another off calendar + no influencers collections and, as usual, it’s a pleasure for our eyes!

The MJ dolls are back and they keep on playing the dressing up game on a collection whose title is “Joy”.
With a title like that my mind flies to Pharrell’s debut at LV where he constantly bombarded us with this word in his gospel like finale, but here nobody is telling you to have joy, except your eyes joyfully moving from look to another!

Thanks to @themarcjacobs for keeping our faith in fashion (and creativity) alive!

And, btw, did you get the shoes?!?!? They are Marylin lookalike too!!!

Pierre Balmain was one of the first couturiers to introduce fragrances in his portfolio.
The first one was “Vent Vert” in 1947, while in 1953 he created “Jolie Madame”, with a very graphic bottle where the label was not placed on one face of it but on the corner.
A very particular placement that now we can find also in the “Confidential” fragrance, coming out in September 2024.

The fall 2024 show was “A picnic at Balmain” all inspired by the land of France and some vintage grape Balmain prints from a 50’s foulard.

Moreover, Mr. Balmain held a fashion show in a wine cellar in 1965!!

And, btw, did you get that the last exit from the show, a stunning furry green coat, is none less the grass where you’re having your picnic!!!
