CRAZY STORY: Meet Mike! He is the owner of @audioboxstudios and one of our partners. 15 years ago he was cheated out of two record deals and all his money smh.

He decided to build a studio himself, yep by himself, bc he knew there could be another way into the music industry. He wanted to make honest money, do things the right way, while doing what he loved: Music.

Now he has one of the biggest studios in Charlotte, NC and partners with us because he loves our involvement in the culture. We love your drive Mike, we know this is only the beginning for you! Go show him some love y’all!

When I met my client, @k_lamm_74, he told me he wanted this room to be his Man Cave. The design direction he gave me? “Just do your thing. Seriously, do whatever you want.”

Kendall travels all over the country for his career, but was born + raised in Charlotte. He loves the Hornets 🐝 & Panthers and his college alma mater 🎓. I wanted this room to be personal, fun, and sophisticated. I kept everything simple, but impactful. Lots of leather. Velvet curtains. A comfortable ottoman to put his feet up (instead of a traditional coffee table). Small side tables that move around easily for food, drink, and gaming controllers. Unique furniture with tons of closed storage for gaming consoles. It’s masculine, mature, and completely custom, thanks in large part to this amazing, hand painted mural! 🤩
This room “took a village”. Thank you SO much to everyone who helped me take this man cave from an empty white box to this!🙌🏽

Mural: the man, the myth @2gzandcountin (special thanks to my girl @breestallingsart for the referral)
TV Lighting: @modern_solutions
Console: @nadeaucharlotte
My team: @mrs_c_love @hailsbugg @meegsmcswain + @nathantinney (thank you for your help on this room, and all the ways you’ve come through in the last 2 months while I focused 90% of my time + attention on this house 😉). I couldn’t do this w/o you guys.
Client Referral: my guuuurl @realtor.rio
Last, but never least… thank you, Kendall. I’ll save the heartfelt, sappy words for later, but you already know. 🤜🏼🤛🏽
