We’ve been working on an incredible renovation of a 1947 post war Mid Century Modern home in Palm Springs that is going to be a Feature Home for @modernism_week this February 2027. We are so excited for the opportunity to have this extremely custom project of ours showcased. We’re also beyond grateful for our incredible clients who have allowed us to exercise our creativity to this extent.

Tickets for Modernism Week are now live via the link in our bio.

That turquoise door is just the beginning. 🌴
Step inside the Daybreak by @woodbridgepacific , our first of three home tours at @cotinobydisney a Storyliving by Disney community in Rancho Mirage.

Desert contemporary design, inviting gathering spaces, and mountain views set the scene for a home that makes the most of indoor-outdoor living.
We explored during @modernism_week ’s fall edition, and we’re bringing you along for a closer look.

Two more @cotinobydisney tours are coming next.

Last week, Alair Regional Partners from across North America gathered in Palm Springs for @modernism_week, an annual celebration of mid century modern architecture, art, interior design, landscape design, and vintage culture.

Surrounded by remarkable architecture and some of the industry’s leading creative minds, the week offered an opportunity to explore the ideas, materials, and design philosophies shaping the built environment. From discovering influential spaces to exchanging perspectives with fellow professionals, every experience added something new to the conversation.

At Alair, we believe the best work is shaped by the people we learn from, the ideas we share, and the relationships we build along the way. Bringing our Regional Partners and industry collaborators together creates opportunities to look beyond our own markets, challenge our thinking, and discover new possibilities for the homes and communities we help create.

Some neighborhoods have a dress code. This one feels like it has a cocktail hour. 🍸

Desert Lanai 4 is a little Palm Springs gem: sixteen homes, dramatic A-frame rooflines, patterned breeze blocks, and stacked rock walls—all with palm-framed views of San Jacinto.

Designed by Charles Du Bois and completed in 1966, this community pairs sophisticated small spaces with private patios and a pool that makes visiting the neighbors feel like a vacation.

I came for the house tour. Now I’m waiting for someone to fetch me a cocktail.

Came for the design, but she stayed for the disco.🙂‍↕️🪩🥂

Friday night at Modernism Week was a whole itinerary, honestly! First stop: the Palm Springs Modernism Fall Show Preview Party for colorful art, vintage treasures, beautiful furniture, and conversations with the people behind it all.

Then we took the sparkle down the street to Spirit Animal inside Hotel Zoso for the 70s Disco afterparty, and honey DISCO WE DID! 🪩💃🏽✨

This is what I mean by Modernism Week After Dark: the art, the people, and the fun that keeps going beyond the home tours.

Meeting Atlas 🐾 and 👩🏻‍🎨 @raisa.artist were indeed the highlights of the night!

One look at the Chihuly chandelier, and the thought was: “I hope I like the rest of the house.”

Fortunately, they did. 🌴

Welcome to La Dolce Vita, Joe and Catherine’s home in Indian Canyons. Built in 1977 and thoughtfully expanded and remodeled over the years, it’s a place where colorful glass art, playful details, and easy outdoor living come together.

From the penny-tile kitchen backsplash to afternoons by the pool, the sweet life feels right at home in Palm Springs.

Bingo with a BANG baby! 🪩😂🍸My first Modernism Week kicked off at Ethyl’s Place Mod Bingo inside Boozehounds. Listen THIS crowd understood the assignment!!! Bold fits, dance breaks, plenty of hootin and hollerin, and through it all THEEE QUEEN Ethylina Canne somehow, someway kept that boat afloat, honey! 🚢🤩

5 rounds played, over $3,000 in prizes won, 80 years of Tupperware celebrated, and a sold out event!

For your next Modernism Week itinerary: Look beyond the home tours and explore the evening programming, too. This particular event required a ticket; food and drinks were sold separately.

Bonus plot twist: my night ended with an appearance on NBC Palm Springs. 🤭📺

Thank you to @gedmagazine and @modernism_week for such a warm welcome, and @palmspringshello for the fab picture. A Thursday night very well spent. 💕

Media admission provided through Modernism Week.
