It feels like a good time to reintroduce myself. I’m @triciapaoluccio, the artist behind Domain of the Flowerings. Everything here begins with real flowers. I gather and press them by hand, then use the pressed botanicals to create original artwork and patterns.
Over the past several years, that work has grown into something I’ve long imagined: collections for interiors. Today, Domain of the Flowerings includes wallpaper, murals, rugs and a new fabric collection, now available to the trade.
We also have a new website where you can explore the collections, the artwork, and the story behind them. Come see what’s blooming. 🌸 Link in bio.

Two sleeps until Pressed Flower Saturday.

Right here in Freeport, Trinidad & Tobago, in the garden where so much of what you see in this reel is grown, picked, pressed and made.

The voice you’re hearing is NYC pressed flower artist Tricia of @modernpressedflower. I listened in awe as she spoke about what she’s witnessed being built here — the work, the garden, all of it.

About three years ago, after taking my own flower pressing practice as far as I knew how to take it on my own, I found Tricia’s work online and eventually joined BLOOM, at the time her inaugural pressed flower mentorship programme. The same way I’ve actively made photography friends, foodie friends, motherhood friends and even life partnerships, I actively sought out flower friends.

I wanted community around this craft. There was non locally.

A little decade ago, I found friends through photography. Those friendships blossomed into travel, retreats as far as Italy and France, some amazing things locally and an entire lifestyle behind my lens. Finding people through flowers feels a little like that.

It’s my desire to travel and spend time pressing flowers, making botanical art and doing flower work.

Three years later, she’s here talking about this little flower world I’ve built in Trinidad. Full circle.

Tricia continues to host BLOOM and has built an incredible pressed flower world of her own — with her botanical work extending into fine art, porcelain, wallcoverings, textiles, furniture and more.

One of my favourite things about this craft has been finding this global community of pressed flower artists I’m very happy to now call friends.

Locally, at the time, it was crickets.

Not so much anymore.

If you’d like to come press flowers with me, do botanical work and create botanical art:

Our workshops are hosted, as a rule, on the first Saturday of every month, with additional dates throughout the year.

Sundays are now available for those who work six days a week and have been asking for another option.

Can’t make our dates? Choose Your Date is available too.

Come in. Join me. Save your spot.

This glamorous wedding joined a perfect couple together, two artists/creatives who both have a passion for music and intense love for their family. This couple has so much fun together, you can tell she’s always laughing and he is always looking at her adoringly. Their beautiful wedding day was marked by so much love, so much fun, so much dancing and a series of surprises that elevated this wedding to epic Hollywood levels. ✨A giant thank you to the team who made this day amazing; My right hand, Ibu, second shooting and piloting the drone @ibutsubo, Arianna @ariannadasilvaphoto on video and Jason also on video. And the best Maitre in the industry, Sam and his whole team at their stunning venue @theparksavoy.
