Another round of Lucy Learns Gaelic - this time with the Royal National Mòd in Glasgow!

Such an amazing week of events across the city, with thousands of people attending - this was just a flavour of what it was like!

Mòran taing to @corriecamcomms and @modghlaschu2026 for having me. The perfect way to celebrate 1 year of leaning Gaelic ♥️

I am still absolutely buzzing from the @royalnationalmod and I wasn’t even taking part 😂♥️

There is just something so inspiring and special about being surrounded by people who love the language as much as I do and I’ve come home feeling SO inspired, with a ridiculous amount of Gaelic merch, and… around 100 ideas for what I should be doing with my Gaelic next!!

So now, I need to put it into action, but any requests for content.. let me know!! Because I feel so driven to share as much as I can 🥰

And now… I’m asking YOU

If you speak or are learning Gaelic, what is one thing you’d recommend I do to get more involved in the community?!

A course? A choir? Coffee mornings? Somewhere I should visit?

Let’s share recommendations, encourage each other, and get even more Gàidhlig into our lives 🥰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿♥️

I’ve tagged some of the brands I spotted there for you to see too!!

Suas leis a’ Ghàidhlig! ✨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

How are the post-Mòd Monday Blues? 🎶

Missing the first half of the week was certainly made up for by joining the party of songs and survival from Wednesday night onwards ✨🍻

But before that, I was so proud of my students who did well in their competitions, gaining plenty of new encouragement, a host of placings and finally the iconic 13–15 trad trophy being taken home once again by Robbie - completing his hat-trick across all three years of the competition (pun not intended)

Official groupie duties also completed for @coisirghaidhligbharraigh, and the choir sign safely returned… though sorely, sorely missed.

And one last question: is anyone else still hearing “Sìne Bhàn” when they close their eyes at night?

Chun na h-ath-bhliadhna! 🕺🏻

As you know, I’ve just moved to Glasgow but I want to find out what careers advice I can get using Gaelic. I met Caresrs Adviser, Joanna from Skills Development Scotland to ask☀️
