Event of the year in Yosemite is the Firefall. And this year it was phenomenal: we had it for good 30+ mins with clouds moving and burning above the Firefall that was full and colorful as well. An Autumn Day Castle Combe Cotswold District England Castle Combe is the quintessential Roman era English hamlet. The Bybrook, also known as the By Brook, is a small river that runs through the town and gives it the extra charm. Castle Combe is a village within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Wiltshire, England. The village is around 5 miles north-west of Chippenham. A castle once stood in the area, but was demolished centuries ago. One of these images you may recognize as a Thomas Kincaid painting. St Andrew's is a parish church in Castle Combe, Wiltshire built in the 13th century with additions in later centuries. It was restored due to structural concerns in the 19th century. It is a Grade I listed building. The structure of the church mostly originates from the 15th century, but includes some extant 13th century work in the chancel and 14th century work in the chapel. Be sure to stop for some delightful refreshments and read an interesting magazine. What time of year is best for a Death Valley elopement? Save this to refer back! ⁠ ⁠ ☀️ October through April ⁠is the best window for comfortable conditions. September is still scorching. ⁠ ☀️ November and March are the best months and my top two recs in that timeframe! ⁠ ☀️ If you can, go for a weekday to get reduced crowd levels. A Monday in early November? A Wednesday in mid-March? *chefs kiss* 😘 HOWEVER (sorryyyyy but there is always a caveat)… Death Valley National Park is a place of extremes and sometimes there’s intense wind and abnormal temperature swings beyond the usual timeframe. Getting married outdoors comes with some inherent risks. Plans might have to shift and change. But with thorough planning, an experienced photographer, and a good attitude you absolutely can’t go wrong. ❤️
