Undergraduate Summer Shows & Festival of Creativity The countdown is on! Not only are we looking forward to celebrating on Thursday evening (2 July 2026), doors open at 6.00pm. We are also getting ready to open the doors to our very first Festival of Creativity on Saturday at 3.00pm. Are you as excited as we are? We can't wait to welcome you to campus this weekend for a celebration of creativity, innovation, and emerging talent. Our first-ever Festival of Creativity takes place on Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July, opening AUB to the world and inviting industry partners, prospective students, local communities and visitors to experience the creative spirit of our campus. Over the festival weekend, everyone is welcome. Whether you're considering studying with us, a local business looking to discover fresh creative talent, or simply a curious neighbour wanting to explore the creative heart of Dorset, there's something for everyone. Alongside our renowned Undergraduate Summer Shows, open across campus, visitors can explore outstanding work from this year's graduating students. Poole Museum recently hosted colleagues from Arts University Bournemouth for a hard hat tour of the museum, to discuss some exciting commissions with our talented students 🧑‍🎨🧵 Lisa Mann FRSA, Jennifer Anyan, Russell Gagg and Tim Metcalf got to explore the renovated spaces and discuss the creative projects which will include interior design concepts, a large-scale art feature, tactile engagement for younger audiences, and bespoke textiles! 🎬Submissions are live 🎥 Ever thought your creative flair could help express the art of science communication? The PlastIC Research Centre at Arts University Bournemouth is calling on AUB’s brightest sparks to dream up an original concept for a short video (1m30s–3m) that introduces their groundbreaking plastics research to the world. They're talking about making them fascinating—through the lenses of heritage, industry, and AUB spirit. Think creativity, clarity, and a concept that’s achievable. The chosen concept will receive the £1000 commission and be brought to life this summer in collaboration with the PlastIC team. This is a commission opportunity exclusive to our AUB students, and they're very excited to see what you all come up with! In order to take part: You’ve got until Sunday, 1st June at 11:59pm to submit the summary of your concept, storyboard, pre-production form, and proof of concept. Please download the full brief from the link in our bio under the opportunities tab. Read it carefully, follow the instructions and submission guidelines in order to be eligible.
