Thank you, @karl_halliday for this portrait of me. I love that it was taken just around the corner from my old home in Northcote.
So much of my work begins with a walk around the block. Walking has become a quiet ritual of noticing, remembering, and making sense of the world. More often than not, I am accompanied by my beautiful 10-year-old whippet, Audrey, who patiently follows every wandering thought and route. She is part of the process too.
Lately, I have been working on a small university project about foraging. I am drawn to foraging because it feels like a thread connecting me to my Italian ancestry- an inherited way of paying attention to the seasons, the landscape, and the knowledge held within ordinary plants.
Alongside my talented friend Sonya @modniyyy, I have been shaping this work into something tangible. It will be a tiny edition, held together by words and photographs, with a delicate cover inspired by the dandelion.
The videos in this post are not from around my local block but were captured on Wadawurrung Country. Always grateful that I am able to work and live on these sacred stolen lands. Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land.

Our second Mouthfull of Matcha Mixtape comes from @modniyyy

This collection of songs suits stillness or gentle motion. Listen to it as you gaze into the distance, and the let the subtle momentum and varied tone and texture take you away.

60 minutes of bliss to bring calm before the energy.

With three days left to enjoy the feast of autumn leaves here in Amsterdam before we head home, I've been looking back on our last year in this wonderfully wild and windy city.
