This weekend I start my 30th and final event of my 2026 season! This is a goal I set out at the beginning of the year…I’ve played 29 tournaments before but I’ve never broke that 30 mark so I decided this was the year I wanted to do it! It only seems fitting that I’m competing in my home clubs annual tournament, The Lunacy in Longmont! Rolling to USDGC Monday Qualifying…for what could be my final tour event of the year. It’s going to take something special to get one of the last 5 qualifying spots but I’ve found success when my back is up against a wall before….I am ready to battle, have a good time and ultimately, leave it all out on the course! It’s been a long, trying year and I’m ready for life to slow down a bit this off season. What a Worlds experience! Honestly, I don’t even want to talk about my play because in my mind, the weekend was bigger than that. I won’t remember my play in 10 years but I’ll remember this week. I got to give one of my super fans and friends an experience of a lifetime and in return, it made it one of my most memorable Worlds to date! It’s not often I actually have a caddy travel to me, most of the time it’s having local fans and friends help out. Well, @joe_42 is from Iowa and we’ve grown our friendship throughout the years. I was lucky enough to have him on the bag earlier this year at Ledgestone and Des Moines. Once I found out my local friend and fan wouldn’t be at the Worlds this year, I had to pitch the idea to Joe. With a mere 14 day notice, he made the big decision to fly out for the week and get his first experience at Worlds. Now let’s set the record…Joe isn’t just a fan of disc golf, he’s a SUPER fan!! Always out there supporting the players he’s a fan of and quite possibly has the most insane Hot KoCo collection out there 🔥 Honestly, I could go on and on but having Joe there for Worlds really helped me get out of my own head (for the most part) and enjoy what the week had to offer! We stood in line almost every day at the Pro Shop for the daily drops…got those Mini Figs, Buzzz/Roc Battle Packs, World Kup Zones, Project C-90 and much more 🤣 Couple things that made the trip extra memorable…Boss man @jeffkorns was able to pull off the surprise matching jerseys that we debut at Worlds and to close out the trip, Kona, Joe and I opened a box of 2022 @otbdiscs / @brixtondiscgolf and had some insane pulls! Kona pulled a CMonty Triple Crown and a CMonty Jersey card and Joe pulls a freaking @james_conrad_iii HOLY SHOT!!!! 🤯 What a week! Of course I wish I played better, but like I said, I truly feel like the week was bigger than that for me. Being able to give an experience like that is so heartwarming and something I won’t forget anytime soon! Thanks again Joe 🤘🏻

Had a blast at the first ever DGPT doubles event at The Preserve! I was lucky enough to snag DGPT CHAMP, @nqueen_68286 as a partner and I felt like we had a solid game plan going into the weekend, being a lefty/righty combo. Unfortunately, your boy here had too many mistakes leaving Nathan unable to score. Doubles is different….I can live with letting down myself, but it’s a tough pill to swallow knowing you let someone down who was counting on you…hope your back doesn’t hurt too bad this week partner! It has probably been close to 10 years since I’ve had the privilege of joining my home club on a league night! Years ago, before my touring days, this club was like my second family…I was on the Board of Directors, helped run some events and you best believe I was there every single Wednesday for our weekly league! Yesterday I got the boys together and we ran it back like the good ol days! Some things just never change…don’t forget your roots!!
