This was a fun and hilarious hangout with some of the @meute_official folks and some new friends at @parteeputt after their killer show. We took on 9 holes of mini golf with the remaining time they had in their visit to Toronto. Sebastian Borkowski and Johnny Johnson tied for taking first place. 🏆🏆 Not bad for 3rd place...but I need to work on getting my Tiger on. 😄⛳️🏌️

Shout out to the homie saxophonist Sebastian Borkowski for hookin’ a brother up and meeting for the first time, even though we have each other on social media, but only fully communicated recently (finding out that he’s touring US/Canada). This is one hard working guy! I knew of his work with @jazzanova_berlin during the Funkhaus Sessions (I loved that project — hence the social media tie), but I see he is also with @meute_official, and informed to be a part of @mokaeftiorchestra and has landed music on @netflix’s @babylonberlinseries. We finally go to a place other than New Ho King, haha!! 😂😂😂 Big ups to @parteeputt for accommodating all of us. ⛳️ It was so much fun hanging out with some of the MEUTE cats who seemed to have enjoyed their stint in Toronto. If you have a chance to see them in your city, I recommend you don’t sleep on these guys. Cop the vinyl! Stream the record! I’m a believer. So great meeting you bro and everyone else!! 👊✌️

@meute_official had the crowd on their feet as they perform their electrified renditions of @ame_innervisions’s “Rej”, @solomun’s “Customer Is King” and @disclosure’s “You & Me” remixed by @flume. 🎶

I was so enthralled and riveted, yet restless at the same time when @meute_official came marching through @adelaidehallto armed with woodwinds, brass and percussion instruments. If you’ve never heard of this German techno marching band, STOP SLEEPING!!! The fascination of these cats dressed in their marching band jackets, each with its own personality of pins and patches, coupled with blaring horns, recurring melodies from the marimba and the thudding of the bass drum had me shaking my head in disbelief (but a good kind of disbelief) as I mouthed, “What the hell is this?!” from a distance to saxophonist Sebastian Borkowski. This was a musically life changing experience. It will make you realize that it’s not a club DJ that’s captivating the crowd in a sweat drenched frenzy, but a monstrous squadron of 11 elite instrumentalists from Hamburg, providing massive four to the floor sonic euphoria. After this event, I told myself that I don’t want to see another music event for the rest of 2019, even though we all know that’s not going to happen. MEUTE has replaced the machine by maintaining the ingredients of a great electronic sound, but have augmented it with a horn section to keep it warm and organic. I have nothing but gratitude for this eye-opening experience. 🇩🇪🙌🙏

Yesterday we had a day off in Burlington, Vermont, but who says you can‘t play drums on a day off?! So the Meute drummers and a special guest found themselves a blues session to join:-)
