POV: you train 9 months for a 70.3… only to discover you never actually had a race entry.

Yes. I flew to Mallorca, brought my bike, packed every gel known to mankind, mentally prepared to suffer for 6+ hours… and then found out there had been a mix-up with my registration and I wasn’t racing after all.

We tried EVERYTHING. Swapping unused entries, speaking to organisers, hoping for a miracle, but sadly no exceptions could be made, due to it being a sold out event.

Honestly, I was devastated at first. So many months of early mornings, long rides, hard runs, missed plans, sore legs… all leading up to this moment. But sometimes life has a funny way of telling you, ‘this one isn’t yours.’

I still had so many things to be grateful for, the fact that I got to cheer on my friends, support my boyfriend, ride my bike in one of the most beautiful places ever.

I have all the tips for the next one!

🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️70.3 Mallorca for Young Minds

Yesterday, was officially 5 weeks out from my Half Iron Man.

80 of us will be heading out from Third Space to take on the epic challenge:

🏊‍♂️1.9km Sea swim
🚴‍♂️ 90km Bike Ride
🏃‍♂️ 21.1km Run

A gruelling task that requires lots of training, I am aiming for a time of 5hrs 45mins but we shall see what happens on the day.

🧠 As a team I suggested we raise money for Young Minds Charity - a charity supporting young people with their mental health before it reaches crisis point.
