2025 is an impossible year to summarize eloquently but wow — as the world burned (literally and figuratively) — there sure was a lot of love. feeling so grateful for my people (many of them not pictured here because I just learned there are 264,647 photos on my camera roll and ain’t nobody got time for that!!)
2025 was the year I watched our city burn 💔, said goodbye to friends as we moved thousands of miles apart, finally packed up my beloved NYC loft (major shoutout to my mom for helping with that behemoth task), and put down 2 very special pets. It was also the year I got to celebrate love in every way imaginable! 💗Saw friends achieve big things, married my favorite person, got to spend lots of time with my parents, and got the thing I’ve always dreamed of: my very own tiny little baby girl. Poppy hasn’t even been here for 3 months and I can’t believe I ever lived without her.
In summary: I am so tired and my heart is so full and how the HECK did all of that just happen in 12 short months?!! If I didn’t answer your text in 2025 please forgive me — I love you and I can’t wait to see what (nice, calm, beautiful) things 2026 has in store for us all. Off we go! 💓

Some of my favorite moments of Pride in no particular order.

Needed it so much this year, as I’ve been really struggling with the crushing weight of the world and the very real governmental attacks against our rights and our existence. I am so grateful for all of the beautiful, vibrant people who I am lucky enough to call my community being here to help build me up, to help build each other up, to galvanize us for the road ahead.

How lucky am I to have all these incredible people in my life, those pictured and those I didn’t get to get a selfie with. I know that our little gay selves and our future gay selves are just so proud of who we are today.

I know that we can do this, weather any storm, because we have each other.

72 hours in NYC celebrating new chapters for @egalli and @moemoefuku 🥹 — many may not know this but Moe, Emma and I all moved to nyc together back in 2013. Moe and I shared a room for a few months, and then Emma and I shared a room underneath the Myrtle Broadway JMZ line. We basically stayed in a storefront 😂 listening to the JMZ go by every night for 2 months. They both have taught me so much. I had to be there for Emma’s surprise engagement party and Moe’s celebration of his engagement /farewell before leaving NYC for Portland. This time was so special for many reasons but ultimately just a reinforcement on solid healthy friendships that have guided me through this crazy life. I love my tribe. Will party with them forever. 💖💫👌🏾 PS- of course you know I had to eat my way through NYC! Shoutout to @eelbarnyc @thesnailnyc @thecommodorebars @semmanyc @fontysdeli_dukaan #nyc #friends
