I returned to Glorieta but this time as a leader. One of my kids asked me this week, “Why do you come as a leader?” I come as a leader for plenty of reasons. I love these kids and I love my church. I love watching them grow spiritually closer to the Lord. I usually go with Billy and serving along side him is something I value immensely. (unfortunately Billy did not go this year) However, I serve as a leader because my testimony is something these kids need to understand that following the Lord is no easy feat. I’ve been where they are and I know how they feel. I went through the hardships and still remained faithful to the Lord. No matter your circumstance, God never fails. Serving the Lord is something I will always do, even if it means staying up until 3am because my junior high girls wanted to just talk. (or because they had a bloody nose) I have come full circle to where I now serve WITH the people that lead me when I was the same age as these students. God is so good. All the time. I can’t wait to do it again next year! 🌲⛰️✝️ @first_students_fbcip
