Syber Al Atlas

I’ve shared the full story of this project on my website. Documented for the research of at @moetjedunja, and a small collection “Syber Al Atlas”, a reflection on the resilience and warmth in the Atlas Mountains.

You can read it and view both through the link in bio.

After the 2023 earthquake in the Atlas mountains, nearly 3,000 people lost their lives and over 500,000 people lost their homes.

We traveled to Ighermane to understand how life was affected, and how rebuilding might take shape here.

Last year, we travelled into the Atlas mountains after the earthquake.

To listen, to learn, and to understand what rebuilding means when home is more than walls.

Dunja’s graduation research “Van tragedie naar kans” grew from those conversations — a vision for rebuilding that begins with the people who live there.

Dunja’s work is now nominated for the KuiperCompagnons Graduation Award, and published in Blauwe Kamer.

I wanted to return to these images now — to honour the people who welcomed us in, the stories shared at tables, and the quiet resilience we witnessed there.

More soon.
