It’s MENTOR MONDAY!! Today I’m highlighting a Cali OG, man of God, and mentor to many… @therealskateline_rick

I first skated side by side with Rick back in 2019 but I had already been learning some of his routines, like In and Out and Skateline Boogie before we met!

As a matter of fact, I can count at least 5 countries I have skated in where In and Out was a staple of their choreo knowledge. His routines and patterns are catchy and fun!

Rick is an incredible teacher who is always willing to share with new skaters and experienced skaters alike.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from Rick is about setting high standards, not giving false praise and leading with tough love. His honesty and standards make receiving praise from him even more rewarding.

Lots of people may know Rick from the National Skate parties he attends as a member of @unitedsk8squad and if you don’t know him, give him a follow!

Those of us in LA feel lucky that we can grab him for a quick lesson almost any Wed @atomicskatejam

Today I want to share my gratitude for this amazing man who has weathered many storms and always risen up more grateful than before. We are so lucky to have you, Rick 🫶🏼💜🙏🏼🛼

Do you have a skate mentor? TAG them in the comments below and share the love 💕

PS. All these skate clips have been sped up to fit the length of the video 🎥
