Iā€™m back playing Joshua tree sound baths! It feels surreal to even say that.. after the journey Iā€™ve been on since leaving here, and reflecting on how much life has transformed, both here and in the years since. I first fell in love with sharing sound here in 2021, and from there, everything in my life began to shift. I lived here for 3 years, sharing sound all around the desert and also going through one of the most transformational times of my life. Itā€™s almost unreal to put into wordsā€¦ but looking back, Iā€™m very grateful for the journey. Now.. returning here instantly feels like home, and the calming energy feels so good to come back to. Thereā€™s just something about this land šŸŒ€ And the vortex energy that will always having me come back! The openness, the expansive skyšŸŖžā˜ļøāœØ the lack of distraction.. it creates so much space to feel, to process, to really hear oneself. While Iā€™m here, Iā€™ll be opening up space to share sound baths, breathwork, and Reiki energy healing, for both locals and those visiting from around SoCal (LA, San Diego, and beyond). Drove out to Joshua Tree this weekend, with my daughter @lunas_lens23, to photograph ā€œTransmissionā€ by @danielpopper at the @mojavemoonranch property. Although we didnā€™t stay at the property, I was able to photograph the sculpture at blue hour from the viewing area. . Later, we drove into the park to photograph the sky from 3-5AM. The Milky Way is aligned in itā€™s natural orientation as you would normally see it at 4AM at the sculpture. . šŸ“ø Fuji X-T3 and Fuji 18mm F/1.4 also used @moveshootmove Nomad tracker for the sky. . #moveshootmove #joshuatree #joshuatreenationalpark #fujifilm @fujifilmx_us

Sometimes the most magical moments are the ones you never plan. We came out to the desert to experience the incredible Transmission sculpture by Daniel Popper ā€” taking in the stillness, the art, and the energy of Joshua Tree. What we didnā€™t realize was that the moon was about to rise at the exact momentā€¦ perfectly framed within the sculpture. No planning. No staging. Just one of those rare moments where everything aligned ā€” the desert sky, the timing, the light, and the art. TRANSMISSION by @danielpopper at @mojavemoonranch. Transmission lies in the Mojave Desert and symbolises the connection between earth and sky. Situated at a private residence, the sets of hands are both entrance and exit. The sculpture explores themes of the cosmos ā€“ the crescent moons on her forehead and palms, the fractal glass mosaics that reflect the sky in multicoloured rays ā€“ but Transmission remains deeply rooted in the land, her body unseen. Her meditative pose and themes of introspection invite viewers to pause and consider their connection to the earth and universe. To Popper, Transmission produces light and reflection in both a literal and symbolic sense. ā€œWeā€™re made of star stuff. An ad for Google Chrome got me thinking about and thankful for all of the places I get to travel and things I get to see and experience. Two years ago, I boarded a plane for a trip to California. Sitting in my seat just before takeoff, I saw a write-up about this AMAZING sculpture in the Joshua Tree desert called Transmission. The images were breathtaking and my heart skipped a beat. The article mentioned that you could stay at Mojave Moon Ranch, which houses the installation. I jumped onto AirBnB just to see if it was available. It was and after a brief chat with the owner, I booked the spot as the plane was taking off! The entire property is mindblowingly special and curated down to the last detail. The raw nature of the desert with its whipping wind, diverse wildlife and wide open skies remind your soul that you are a human connected to something greater than you, something divine. And Transmissionā€¦ Transmission transported and transformed me. What a gift to be in such close proximity to her beauty. As we move into the eclipse season, a time of passing through the void to reencounter the light, may your soul remember its connection to its greater divinity. #embodiedleadership

FAN~TA~SY Definition: The faculty or activity of imagining things, especially things that are impossible or improbable This is sheer fantasy, MY fantasy. An adult-childā€™s fantasy! As the well-known astronomer and philosopher, Carl Sagan said: ā€œImagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere.ā€ . I thought having the Galactic Core rise above this hallowed ground, would be most appropriate. Both images are mineā€¦.and I hope it invokes that same feelings of eternity, oneness, divinity, and love in you, as it does in me. When I photographed this scene just a week back, I conjured up many ways in which I could use the image of this beautiful art work in the middle of the Mojave Desert, outside of Twentynine Palms, California. The message the artist projects with this incredible installation is this: ā€œTransmission truly speaks to you when you are in her presence. She reminds us that we are all rooted in love, unity and the divine, always.
