Things I’ve learned over 45 years.

Find what you love and do it.
Make time for it.
Family teaches us the hard lessons that we take with us later on, learn from them.
Work hard.
Play harder.
Learn how to be comfortable being alone.
Don’t be afraid to open up to people.
Ask for help.
Give help.
Love the people who love you well.
Learn to love yourself.
Practice setting boundaries and saying no.
But Jesus Christ, say yes. A lot.
Listen to your gut, but know the difference between your instinct and your fear.. they won’t lead you in the same direction.
Take care of your body, you only get one.
Love. Fall in love. Do it a lot. It’s the only reason we are here after all.
Kiss a lot.
Hug a lot.
Learn to listen well, it’s the key to so much in life.
Learn to speak from love and with kindness. You’ll be heard so much more easily.
Listen to music.
Dance.
With your parents.
With your children.
With your lovers and your friends.
Dance your heart out and share it with people.
Give to others, but not for something in return. Do it from love, not for love.
Don’t worry if you’re not understood. The only person who needs to understand you is you.
Don’t worry so much. It solves nothing and makes you feel like shit.
Let things be as they are, accept what is and appreciate it for what it’s brought to you, even if painful sometimes.
Lessons live in pain.
Loss is inevitable, and growing older hurts when we lose our health and the people we love. So hold onto what’s good now.
Nothing is forever, so do whatever you have to do to enjoy your life.
Practice gratitude.
Every single day is a gift full of beauty if you choose to see it.

And last but not least, age ain’t nothin’ but a number babe. What matters is the energy you put out into the world.. this is what will come back to you.

I’m always working on these things, some days are easier than others, but I am grateful for the chance I’ve been given to make it this far. For all of the beautiful connections I’ve made, for the chance to have and raise three beautiful daughters.
🤍

Thank you, merci, gracias, grazie mille pour tout mes amis, my family.. I love you all so so much. This weekend was EPIC. ❤️
