Have some figurines floating around at home?

Give these ideas a try! There is so much language you can model with these. Easy, low prep and using things from around the house 🤍

You can do these with any small toy! Characters, farm animals, cars etc!

At Splash, we are always learning and evolving as therapists! This June, we had the privilege of hearing Clinical Psychologist, Monique Mitchelson from the @neurodivergent_women_podcast present on the topic on neurodiversity & neuroaffirming practice! 🙌🏼

It was a great opportunity to come together and continue developing our knowledge and skills in supporting our neurodivergent clients.

We celebrate neurodiversity and want our clients to feel the same way too! 🌈

School Holiday Fun ! 🤗
Inspo from @molly.slp

Using my minis collection to target literacy goals
1. Worked on spelling words with diagraphs /ch/ /sh/ and/ck/
2. Then created a silly story with the minis 🍤🐠🍱🐥🏁

Story telling is a great way to promote writing skills by encouraging students to write their own impressions of stories.

Putting together a quick home program using some of my favourite resources.

Having my go to resources handy means I don’t have to worry about spending too much time collating useful activities or resources.

💜 flash cards: Mommy Speech Therapy website - free download!

💙 Home program activities ideas from @molly.slp

🧡 100 grid from @heydoodle_

💛 Picture mnemonic cards from @teacherspayteachers. @spelfabet also have a great set.

🟧🟨🟩 Colourful semantics session today with a little one via video 🟧🟨🟩

She was so motivated by @molly.slp absolutely lovely puppy resource (who wouldn’t be as Molly’s puppy is suuuper cute 🐶). By the end of the session she was able to independently verbalise a ‘who + what doing + what’ sentence with just the sentence strip and no symbols and 12 weeks ago she wasn’t even able to make a who + what doing sentence independently! I have 3 more sessions with her so I’m excited to see how far we can get! 😃

I recently did the colourful semantics training (after having used the approach for years without having attended the training) and it was a real eye opener as there were so many things I didn’t know about this seemingly straightforward approach! Will be making a post about it in the future 🌟
