Gulf Shores family trip was a success! Even if we did have to suffer a little - like how the first night we arrived to find our condo’s AC was broke 🥵 but we thugged it out!! ‘Twas was nothin for me and my cuz @bherber25 😎 our sole mission for this trip was to enjoy family while balancing our time vibing on the beach & fishing and I’d say we did a pretty good job of that. Didn’t expect to walk 8.7 miles down the beach onto the main strip barefoot while getting absolutely COOKED with no sunscreen but hey‼️ who’s complaining 🥲 good news is we finally found the daiquiri shop we searched hours for so of course I had 4 of’em - worth it!!! Brady’s an absolute SAVAGE when it comes to getting them miles in… fellar’s run a mile or more over 140 days straight and counting!!! So naturally my no running ass had no choice but to say F my comfort zone and join him. Anyone who knows me knows running distance isn’t my thing but cuz absolutely got the best outta me and pushed me to run a new 2 mile PR - WHILE HUNGOVER AND BURNT!!!! Never saw that coming. Guess I just needed someone to push me 🤷‍♂️ (I say hungover… not really. More like no sleep)

🎣 Before this weekend I hadn’t been fishing in YEARS. I never had much opportunity growing up but I’ve always had interest and that primal feeling about it… lemme tell you THE HYPE IS REAL I’m so late to the party but MY GOD the rush of catching a fish is unmatched!!! And not just trophy fish either, but any fish. Safe to say I’m now obsessed. Appreciate my cuz for putting me on game

Time was most well spent on this trip with family though. My sweet mom, my loving sister, my incredible aunts and cousins and all their little ones… catching up and hanging out with them always brings me such joy. Those are the moments that make life worth living ♥️

Life is a mountain. When you’re 12,000ft in the sky your perspective shifts. Anxieties and stress dissipate, and inspiration fills the voids. You realize all that is possible in life, if only your will is stronger than defeat. In life people roll over and quit all the time, never amounting to their full potential and accepting misery. But on the mountain if you quit, the price is your life. Keep going or die. Those are your only options. What’s ironic is the greatest joys in life are just on the other side of your greatest pains. Those willing to push through that pain and doubt are rewarded with views from the top so few ever see. God does not grant fulfillment until we overcome ourselves. Only then will we find peace, and you’ll smirk when you look back and realize you had it in you all along.

Life is a mountain. Summiting peaks is the closest to heaven on earth you can get, and the journey never fails to reveal a strength within yourself you forgot you had. Of all the ranges I’ve conquered, the Grand Tetons were by far the most humbling and majestic. What an adventure!! And to do it with my family made it all the more special. This was a journey I’ll never forget and I’m already looking forward to the next one 🙌🏼
