A simple shell goes a long way when the right people believe in it. ❤️
Mark and Karen Carson, founders of @fatbraintoys, have been part of Bilibo’s journey almost from the beginning. For its 25th birthday, they look back on their first encounter – and how Bilibo became a bestseller that keeps on spinning.
Since 2022, Fat Brain Toy Co. has also been our US distributor, helping the whole MOLUK family find its way into stores, schools and homes across the country.
We’re a small family business, and some of the best things we’ve made along the way are friends. Thank you, Mark, Karen and the whole Fat Brain team!

Giocare, creare o rilassarsi? 👇

A few days ago, someone said something to me that made my heart sink:

“You only encourage open-ended play because you work and don’t have time to play with your kids.” 💔

I’m not going to lie, as a working parent, that statement hit a raw nerve. We already carry so much invisible guilt, don’t we?

But after reflecting on it, I realized how deeply misunderstood open-ended play actually is.

Stepping back isn’t a shortcut. It’s not „lazy parenting.“ It is actively choosing to trust your child’s brain.

When we micro-manage their play, we teach them that their ideas only have value if an adult guides them. When we offer simple materials and space, we give them critical thinking, autonomy, and confidence.

Yes, I work. Yes, my time is limited. But giving my children space to create their own worlds isn’t an excuse, it’s one of the best developmental gifts I can offer them. 🫶

👇 Have you ever felt judged for letting your kids play independently while you work or handle chores? Let’s normalize stepping back in the comments!

Spooky season, STEM-style 👻 AirToobz + eyeballs = a Halloween activity my kids want on repeat! Screen-free play with a side of chaos 😂

Honestly, this is the best toy my kids have ever gotten! 🎁 If you’re looking for a holiday gift, add this to your list.

What other toy should we cast a spell on next? 🪄👀

25 years ago, a shell with two eyes and a smile turned up and refused to explain itself.

Adults still ask, “What does it do?” Kids have never needed telling. It’s a boat. A helmet. A spinning seat. A turtle shell. A throne. Usually all before lunch.

OTs love Bilibo for balance, core strength and vestibular input. Kids just love spinning in it.

To celebrate Bilibo’s 25th birthday, we’re giving away 25 Bilibos.
