Our very own Peter Mills Weiss, Co-Interim Producing Artistic Director, shared his culture diary with Elisabeth Vincentelli (@doublediamondev) for @nytimes during a January week of “everyone doing everything all the time, and by the seat of everyone’s pants.” "7 Surprisingly Busy Days in the Life of an Experimental Theater Maker," featuring shout outs to @exponentialfestival artists and Brick artists @smelladavidson @sapphiretheplay @VapeKidJr 🖤 Read it! What an incredible summer.

I served as light board op on numerous productions, worked daily as an electrician for over 20 events across the summer, operated a video design from a Tony-winning industry designer, worked as a rehearsal SM/PA for an interactive show, put together rigging, saw some incredible theatre and performances (Sara Porkalob! Rachel Bloom! Sara Bareilles! Alex Edelman! Julie Benko! Ethan Slater! Adam Kantor! Eden Espinosa! Nick Adams! Peter Mills Weiss! etc), and much more. Observing and working directly in the process with peers, supervisors, and industry professionals was priceless.

I certainly started with a culture shock in moving from the QCs to a place where everyone is a New York artist; it was invaluable as I ended the season comfortable in my skills and in the connections I’ve made. I met and worked with so many wonderful and talented people and made lifetime connections. Thank you x a million to my supervisors, professional designers and artists I worked with, production co-workers, and friends I made along the way for an incredible time. I needed this summer in so many ways.

A few non-contextual highlights:

I don’t want to leave. Until next time, @wtfestival ❤️
